After owning the Tac - XR for over a year (and loving it), I decided to grab another Tac - XR in a different color, a Vision - XR and the Pentagon - XR…all at the same time. Having them side-by-side to compare was a huge benefit and actually made me dislike the Pentagon - XR unfortunately. The Vision and the Tac both have an excellent grip, good jimping and are great fidget knives. The Pentagon has a very straight grip (think Applegate combat style) no blade jimping and a sharp edge on the rear and is sort of awkward to flip open. Note, I have large hands so jimping on the rear of the blade is a huge benefit, as well as grip angle. The blade action is smooth, it is sharp and it looks nice, but it also feels “cheaper and lighter” than the other two and overall…I wish I had just stuck with the Vision - XR and the Tac - XR. I tossed the box so it’s a keeper, but it sits in my knife drawer as something I’ll pass down to my son and not actually carry. I wanted to like it, since that’s why I ordered it, but after comparing with the other two…I have other go-to knives for EDC.

My son takes it with him everywhere and loves it. As a scout he is always needing one and this was an upgrade to his existing pocket knife. The engraving was to his liking and he will always remember it fondly. Other scouts are wanting to get the same model as its a great size and easy to use while staying sharp. Easy to maintain and sharpen if needed.

Took delivery of this on the same day as a Spartan Pallas. Night and day. Although immediately disappointing… it’s oddly grown on me to be equal in my mind to the Spartan. Super light , lightening fast opening and tucks into places where the Spartan feels clunky.

I’ve had this knife about two weeks!
All I can say is wow this is smooth as silk opening,a nice grip texture easy close and open. The clip can be switched two either side for left and right pocket carry.
It’s a nice size knife that fits in my hand well.
The blade is bigger than expected but the right size for carry.
