I am a long time RAYOVAC 312 battery user. I will no longer purchase this product due to child resistant packaging. I am a senior and do not need this protection. What I do need is the convenient, easy (non-scissor), fast package opening the moment my hearing aid batteries run out. The battery change occurs at restaurant dinners, stop lights, etc. The child protective packaging must have come from a child eating your batteries. I understand your packaging change to prevent lawsuits.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for submitting your review.David! Many thanks for you feedback on the new child-resistant packaging. We have changed the packaging format to be in compliance with Reese’s Law, which states that all button, coin and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – must be contained in child-resistant packaging that features specific warning copy. The products have been subject to rigorous independent tests, confirming that the new packaging is 100% child resistant*, and zero batteries were accessed by children during CRP testing.* The new plastic dial includes additional staking points for extra security. By that nature it does mean that there will be a difference for users in how to access batteries in the pack, compared to previous packaging. The independent testing also showed that 99% of seniors were able to open the pack for the first time in under one minute*. On the second attempt, this time halved* so we found that consumers become faster with more familiarity and with instruction. We want to support everyone through the transition to child-resistant packaging and have prepared the following video that shows you how to open the pack.

What am I to do? The child resistant packaging is impossible for me to open, I am 90 years old, have arthritis in my hands. Do you have an easy to open package? Where can I get it? Why don't you make an easy open package for the people who use the most batteries?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The child-proof packaging now requires the use of some tool, e.g., scissors, to open. With that, it is still difficult to open, and one runs the risk of cutting oneself on the stiff plastic .
I bought these and I wont buy them again. After having to get my best pair of scissors to cut thru the package to get two out I continued to get them all out of the package. Now I have 4 loose batteries on my dresser. Guess who grabbed them off of my dresser. Yes my grand child. So instead of be child resistant they are more available to the children. I will not buy your product until you go back to the old package.
i must replace 312 Batteries for my 92 year husband who is deaf without hearing aids. The new packaging i have to deal with is not at all easy. Do you expect one to carry scissors with them, since batteries go out at any time or place? Child proof is not the big problem, poor new packaging is the problem.
I've used only your brand of batteries since I began wearing a hearing aid about five years ago. The batteries are consistently working well. However, it's your recent change in packaging that is driving me away...to a different brand. The rigid plastic packaging is impossible to cut through with a scissors. If one's hands are strong enough to use the scissors on that plastic, it's almost impossible to separate the two pieces. The plastic is sharp (especially once cut with the scissors) and slices into a user's skin and can cause bleeding, which can be dangerous to an elderly person on blood thinners. Is there any chance that you will change this dangerous packaging to a type that is user-friendly? I would prefer to return to your battery vs. using a competitor's.
