Easy on arthritic hands but safe from kids

This type isn’t available anymore and we should be given a choice of packing. Two very strong adult sons cannot open the new style that replaced this dispenser. I’m furious.

Last 15 hours longer than Power One

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Up until recently I have been using Power One batteries, which last about 56-57 hours continuously. Then I purchased Rayovac batteries, that consistently gave me 72 hours. I am very impressed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been using Rayovac ever since I got hearing aids six years ago, so I can't compare them to other brands. I was always happy with them until you came up with the "child proof" feature. I have a terrible time getting them out of the packaging. Scissors are a poor solution and sometimes the battery flies out of the packaging when I'm trying to get it out. Do you have a product that isn't "senior-proof?"

Thank you for submitting your review.Stella! Many thanks for you feedback on the new child-resistant packaging. We have changed the packaging format to be in compliance with Reese’s Law, which states that all button, coin and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – must be contained in child-resistant packaging that features specific warning copy. The products have been subject to rigorous independent tests, confirming that the new packaging is 100% child resistant*, and zero batteries were accessed by children during CRP testing.* The new plastic dial includes additional staking points for extra security. By that nature it does mean that there will be a difference for users in how to access batteries in the pack, compared to previous packaging. The independent testing also showed that 99% of seniors were able to open the pack for the first time in under one minute*. On the second attempt, this time halved* so we found that consumers become faster with more familiarity and with instruction. We want to support everyone through the transition to child-resistant packaging and have prepared the following video that shows you how to open the pack.

I’ve been using Rayovac 312 for about 5 years. They last me about 5 days. However, the last box I bought has childproof packaging. I sliced my finger trying to pry the package open. It’s almost impossible for me to cut the package with scissors. Please offer a choice of childproof packages for those who have concerns and an option for the elderly.

Great battery. Poor case design.

I have used this brand of hearing aid battery for 13 years. I think the batteries provide great performance. The battery packaging has always been user friendly. Today I struggled to cut open the child resistant package. It took me about 20 minutes to cut the plastic in a way that released the battery and also did not result in cutting my fingers on sharp edges of plastic. I travel quite a bit and would not be able to access the batteries if I did not have a scissors with me. If the company has to make a statement that 99% of users can get the package open in a minute, that says there is concern about the package design and ease of opening. I understand not wanting children to get a hold of these batteries. But I don’t want to struggle to access this product. Secondarily, the package only holds 6 batteries, not 8 that previous packages held. This is not a win for me as a user. I would not recommend this product with the package in its current design state. In fact, I may be looking at other options that have more user friendly packaging

I gave these batteries a 1 because of the packaging. I have to get someone to open it for me. This was the worst idea of packaging anyone ever had. The label should say Senior Resistant instead of Child Resistant.

New child-proof packaging is terrible!!! Battery is fine. Not able to replace without carrying a scissor. Rayovac needs to change this design!. Also, now only 6 batteries instead of 8!!!

i bought these batteries and have found them extremely difficult to open. they are "Child Proof", but they are also so hard for an adult to open. Considering that many seniors wear hearing aids, have strength difficulties, arthritis and sight problems these are awful!!!!
