The batteries are great, last longer than other batteries I've tried. But the child-proof packaging is terrible. I'm a senior and have trouble opening the package. You need a lot of muscle in your hands to cut it open, and I don't want to carry scissors with me if I need to open the package away from home. Try again with a better package.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trying to get the packaging open on the 312 hearing aid batteries is so NOT a “senior-considerate” design! My husband has vision and cognitive issues making it nearly impossible for him to access the batteries. My attempts have been painful with the plastic nearly cutting my fingers trying to cut the dispenser open.
You need to rethink this change and offer options to accommodate seniors and those with compromised dexterity immediately!

good battery lousy packaging

The child resistant packaging is also senior resistant. opening requires a great deal of hand strength to work the scissors and the cuts produce plastic with sharp edges. There has to be a better way to package this

Rethink your child-proof packaging

Just purchased my first 312 hearing aid batteries in the new packaging. They are impossible to open. Additionally, ruined a perfectly good pair of scissors trying. Unreasonable to expect people to carry around scissors. I notice they are produced in United Kingdom instead of United States as they used to be.

I UNDERSTAND THE NEED FOR CHILD PROOF BUT THE FACT THAT YOU NEED TO CARRY SCISSORS OR SOME SHARP DEVICE TO ACCESS A FRESH BATTERY IS COUNTERINTUITIVE. YOU CAN'T ALWAYS HAVE ACCESS TO A SHARP DEVICE WHEN NEEDED BECAUSE OF A DEAD BATTERY. I WON'T BUY THEM ANYMORE UNTIL YOU REDESIGN THE PACKAGING.

This new child resistant package not only keeps children from opening pack, but also seniors. This packaging is horrible, takes an hour to open it. Give us an option of either child resistant, or old dial open one.

I purchased a new package of Rayovac batteries and the new chili proof packing means that I can’t get into the package as well. The directions say to use a scissor to cut into te plastic. That migh work for someone who doesn’t have arthritis, but that isn’t me.
So now children can’t get into the package and most seniors can’t either. Rayovac what were you thinking.
