Exceptionally difficult to open

The batteries are good, once you manage to get them out of the package without tearing your hands apart. You need scissors, and then you get sharp edges to try to pry open without slicing your fingers. Want to carry a pack in your pocket or purse? Better carry a pair of scissors as well. If your batteries die while you're out--as has happened to me several times--you can't just drop into a drugstore and buy a pack. You'll also have to buy a pair of scissors.

Thank you for submitting your review. Many thanks for you feedback on the new child-resistant packaging. We have changed the packaging format to be in compliance with Reese’s Law, which states that all button, coin and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – must be contained in child-resistant packaging that features specific warning copy.
The products have been subject to rigorous independent tests, confirming that the new packaging is 100% child resistant*, and zero batteries were accessed by children during CRP testing.* The new plastic dial includes additional staking points for extra security. By that nature it does mean that there will be a difference for users in how to access batteries in the pack, compared to previous packaging. The independent testing also showed that 99% of seniors were able to open the pack for the first time in under one minute*. On the second attempt, this time halved* so we found that consumers become faster with more familiarity and with instruction. We want to support everyone through the transition to child-resistant packaging and have prepared the following video that shows you how to open the pack.

I am an arthritic senior citizen who cannot open the packaging without scissors—and that is painful!

The batteries are great, last longer than other batteries I've tried. But the child-proof packaging is terrible. I'm a senior and have trouble opening the package. You need a lot of muscle in your hands to cut it open, and I don't want to carry scissors with me if I need to open the package away from home. Try again with a better package.

Sadistic Packaging

I had a new box of 312 10 packs. My father in law was visiting and needed some batteries. I handed him one of these new packs and he was totally unable to get it open, Now it was my turn to try. It was awful. I have good use of both hands and was using kitchen shears. I had not imagined something so poorly designed.
What if I had arthritis and poor vision? All I have to say here is that the product development people and admistrators who supervised this unholy packaging have totally failed their customer base. I for one will not purchase any more of their products.

Rayovac 312 Extra Advanced Hearing aid Batteries

I bought these 28. 7. 2016 and found that they each measured 1.176 Volts.
Since my hearing aids shut off when the battery power reaches 1 Volt I can now understand why I get so little use out of Batteries manufactured by Rayovac
Would you care to comment???

TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!

I bought the double pack of batteries and 3 out of the 2 packages worked in the
usual length of time. All the rest: The battery didn't NOT WORK AT ALL or it
would work for 1 DAY and it was finished. I had to throw out the entire packages of
batteries. Being a hearing aid wearer and keeping spare batteries in my bag for use I was TOTALLY FRUSTRATED AND ANGRY when attempting to put in a new battery when I was out for the day - to find I could NOT rely on these batteries and I
cannot hear without the hearing aids. Ray Vac batteries (and not the 1st time this
has happened to me w/ Ray Vac's batteries are just the WORSE!!!!!!

ineffective as I don't carry scissors in my purse. So guess what I did. I opened EVERY ONE and just had the loose batteries in a baggie. They ended up in a pocket and I washed them! SOOOOOOO Batteries are ALL OVER my house....loose in my purse even because the baggie broke at one time. It is absolutely the STUPIDEST design imaginable! WHO was the IDIOT that though this would be safer??? I would bet my salary that that 99% claim is a BALDFACE LIE!
