Great battery life. Adult proof package.

These have a reputation for being long lasting and they are. I am marking them down for two reasons, The new packaging is nearly adult proof. I cannot get them out even with Swiss Army Knife. I ended up buying heave duty, titanium sheers to extract them. I carried them in a pill box. Several were dead when I tried to activate them. I am normally positively inclined to like child proof packages. Adult proof are not needed. I cannot recommend them until the packaging is fixed so that it is reasonable for an adult to extract new batteries,.

Good grief

I am 71 years old and just spent 30 minutes getting out 2 batteries from the “child proof” package. Absolutely no consideration was given to seniors in this design. I had to purchase and industrial pair of scissors to open the package.

Absolutely impossible to open

i HATE the current packaging on these batteries. The former packaging with the twist back was sooooo much easier. I have to use scissors to open these and then pry from the package. No longer able to carry extra packs in my purse.

Poor Packaging

(re: child resistant packaging) I have been using hearing aid batteries (of all brands) for over 50 years and find this the worst packaging I have used. I was unable to open the child resistant package, and my husband also had difficulty. We are both very nimble. There is no way that I could use these away from home which is when I often need to replace a battery. Unless another packaging option is provided, I will no longer purchase the Rayovac brand. Aside from the packaging, these batteries perform well.

New Packaging

The new package was so difficult to figure out how to open it I went to UTuBe.
I cut a pie shaped wedge (not cleanly, very difficult) and couldn't get the battery out
cleanly. The cut left sharp plastic edges so when I reach for the next batter I can lacerate my fingers. For a childproof package it is just plain stupid. Now if I need a battery I have to fine a scissors somewhere. Maybe 7 eleven. They have out engineered the problem. Please change back to the old design. I'll have to use Everready until then.

As a long-time user of Rayovac I was surprised with the. new child proof packaging. I did notice the 99% easy-open survey you stated, but PLEASE.!! The survey must have been made up of 60-year-old male bodybuilders with full toolboxes, definitely not 87-year-old women with kitchen shears. The package is impossible. I'll keep checking in hopes that the packaging changes back to easy-open. BTW do children no longer have caregivers? Safety measures should be reasonable, not this extreme.

Cannot Open Package

Purchased a box of 60 batteries. I cannot open them. Have arthritis in my "scissor" hand, and scissors could not cut through the plastic. I will probably end up in the ER with severe cuts before this is over. Complete fail.
