I purchased a new package of Rayovac batteries and the new chili proof packing means that I can’t get into the package as well. The directions say to use a scissor to cut into te plastic. That migh work for someone who doesn’t have arthritis, but that isn’t me.
So now children can’t get into the package and most seniors can’t either. Rayovac what were you thinking.

hate the new packaging

Hate the new packaging. I get that the old packaging was not very child proof but, how are people who use hearing aids, AKA older adults, suppose to open the package??? If you have arthritics, gripping a pair of scissors and cutting the hard plastic is next to impossible. Not everyone lives with someone who can help.
If you are, out and about, and your battery dies, do you just, pull out your trusty pair of scissor and have at it?? Who carries scissors??

Child Resistant Packaging is Horrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new child resistant packaging is very difficult for seniors on the go who need to replace their hearing aid batteries right away. Who carries scissors with them to use at a moment's notice to access new batteries? TSA for flights doesn't even allow passengers to carry on scissors. Seniors should have the option of obtaining the 312 batteries without the childproof packaging, just like they have the option of requesting medication in non-childproof packaging. Seniors who do not have children in their homes need to be able to access their batteries easily.

I would like to see a tutorial on how to open these god awful child resistant packages. I don't believe it when you say seniors were able to open them in less than one minute the first time. I must be an idiot because I can't get them open without the batteries or bits of plastic flying all over the place, and it DEFINITELY takes a whole lot longer than 1 minute.

Terrible "Child Proof Packaging" for older people.

I have always used Size 310 Rayovac batteries. Your decision to change to the Child Proof Packaging has had a serious negative impact on my use of Rayovac hearing aid batteries. The new package is terrible. It is difficult to open and now requires a pair of scissors to access each individual package port. As I age and my strength and dexterity decline your new package has made my life more difficult not easier. Additionally many Hearing aid users DO NOT have young children in our lifes that we need to worry about them eating your batteries. Please reconsider this "wonderful" packaging decision you have made. They are terrible

New Packaging

My wife has been using Rayovac batteries for about 7 years. She is extremely pleased with the performance of the batteries. The new "child proof packaging" is very difficult to get into. Tonight I gathered a pocket knife, scissors, needle-nose pliers and side cutters. After a struggle , which lasted about 30 minutes , I was finally able to break into the first container.
Finally, I was able to remove all the batteries from two containers. We live in a childless home, so we are not extremely concerned about the childproof issue.
When I was finished, both of the circular plastic discs were mangled and my hands are sore.
Please tell me how the packages are supposed tto be opened. The instructions on the package need to be expanded.
I would recommend this to a friend!
