NOT child proof

I bought these and I wont buy them again. After having to get my best pair of scissors to cut thru the package to get two out I continued to get them all out of the package. Now I have 4 loose batteries on my dresser. Guess who grabbed them off of my dresser. Yes my grand child. So instead of be child resistant they are more available to the children.
I will not buy your product until you go back to the old package.

Don't buy until they fix the packaging

The child-proof packaging now requires the use of some tool, e.g., scissors, to open. With that, it is still difficult to open, and one runs the risk of cutting oneself on the stiff plastic .

Seniors can open in 60 seconds? Let’s see, I should carry a pair of scissors along every place I go. Get with the real world you knuckleheads.

Child resistant packaging RAYOVAC 312

I am a long time RAYOVAC 312 battery user. I will no longer purchase this product due to child resistant packaging. I am a senior and do not need this protection. What I do need is the convenient, easy (non-scissor), fast package opening the moment my hearing aid batteries run out. The battery change occurs at restaurant dinners, stop lights, etc. The child protective packaging must have come from a child eating your batteries. I understand your packaging change to prevent lawsuits.

Thank you for submitting your review.David! Many thanks for you feedback on the new child-resistant packaging. We have changed the packaging format to be in compliance with Reese’s Law, which states that all button, coin and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – must be contained in child-resistant packaging that features specific warning copy.
The products have been subject to rigorous independent tests, confirming that the new packaging is 100% child resistant*, and zero batteries were accessed by children during CRP testing.* The new plastic dial includes additional staking points for extra security. By that nature it does mean that there will be a difference for users in how to access batteries in the pack, compared to previous packaging. The independent testing also showed that 99% of seniors were able to open the pack for the first time in under one minute*. On the second attempt, this time halved* so we found that consumers become faster with more familiarity and with instruction. We want to support everyone through the transition to child-resistant packaging and have prepared the following video that shows you how to open the pack.

Child-proof and adult-proof

The Veteran's Administration provided a 6-month supply of these last week. I took the first pack wit me when I flew to Michigan from California. I couldn't carry scissors with me on the plane, even if I had thought I needed them. When my batteries died, it was IMPOSSIBLE to open the package and replace batteries in my hearing aids.

Child proof? Adult proof.

The idiots who designed the new "child proof" package should have to try, even with scissors, to get a battery ... while being shocked with a cattle prod every 30 seconds. Outrageous! And I'm a strong, capable man.

Love the batteries for my hearing aids, but the new packaging is awful. I feel the older packaging was more user friendly for seniors.
