Terrible packaging

These ‘childproof packaging’ are almost impossible to open. I keep extra batteries with me, when in public. At a dinner meeting, one of my hearing aid batteries died. No one at the table, could open it. I had to go to the kitchen and ask for a scissors. The man there, could hardly cut it open. Now I’m “trying” to cut them open, with my extra sharp kitchen scissors, so that I can put them in small container to keep in my purse. They are advertised as 100% child proof and seniors 1st try takes one minute to open and 30 seconds for 2nd try. No one I know carries heavy duty scissors with them in public and I doubt that they would be allowed on an airplane. These need to be redesigned!

New Packaging is an abomination

It may be "childproof " but additionally it is senior citizen proof or anyone with arthritis in their hands. What were your packaging engineers thinking? Also, your original packaging had 8 batteries, your new packaging has only 6 with no seemingly reduction in pricing.

Tremendous hassle to open packaging

Have been using Rayovac's 312s for years, but always bought the 16 pack. Batteries were fine.
Bought the child resistant 6 packs last time and found out the packaging is also adult proof. Takes forever to struggle to get one out. Regular scissors would not cut the plastic. Will not be buying anything in this packaging again.

The recent change in packaging makes these batteries impossible to change on the go. I will be changing brands

Child-proof packaging: I can't verify the child-proof claim but the packages are definitely senior resistant. Not only is the plastic container terribly difficult to cut in order to free a battery; the cut plastic can be quite painful should one jab one's self with it. I won't buy again.

Horrible Packaging - 312 Hearing Aid Batteries

Not even an adult can open the child proof packaging! I agree to make it safe so a child can't get their hand on them but let's do it with the user in mind. Not to mention the slick move of switching from a 3 pack of 8 in each circle to a 2 pack with only 6 in a circle. I don't believe the price went down. If it did, not noticeable. It's too bad - the batteries are great. You advertise them as lasting longer than any other and they truly do. But the lack of ingenuity in the child proof packaging cost you a customer. I'll be switching to a competitor so I don't have to take 10 minutes to get the batteries out of the pack. If you get a better packaging and go back to putting the same amount of batteries that you used to have in a pack, I'll be back.

The new child proof packaging is very difficult to get into. For my older hands, cutting plastic is difficult plus makes it impossible when I need to change batteries in public.

Childproof packaging is NOT senior friendly

My most recent purchase showed up with child proof packaging. This is extremely difficult for seniors and you have neglected one thing. Any child can grab a pair of scissors and get these open. Child proof packaging is a failure in this case for everyone.
