The Right Filter for a medium to large home.

I just started using this Filtrete 1500 this cooling season and have realized that it will also be perfect for our long (7 months) heating season. This filter preforms heads above any other brand of furnace filter that I have used, and easily lasts the 3 months that it advertised without clogging and lowering the air flow! I will continue using this Filtrete 1500 furnace filter from now on..
I would recommend this to a friend!

Having used these filters for over 10 years after trying many others I have gotten superior results over all the other brands. These filters do last me for 3 months but I do check them monthly to be sure.

I buy these filters all the time. They work great and I have never had a problem with dust on my voild. My air conditioning bill is lower also. My house never has a dust problem and I have 5 kids and three dogs. Very happy witht he product.

I tried going with cheaper filters and I got what I paid for. An extra dusty house and kids with more sneezes than I care to relive. The allergen filters are my friends for life!

Years ago I started buying this 1500 filter because I lived in a manufactured home and the filter went in the middle of the house on the floor. The sound was so much quieter than lesser filters, I suppose due to the way it is made. My electric bill was also much lower. I never go past the 3 month replacement recommendation and if I need to change it sooner (depends on the season) I will. I am now in a house and continue to buy and look for it to go on sale. Some people don't think this higher rating makes any difference but I sure do. It also makes me feel good that I am taking care of my air conditioner.

We've been using the 1500 for a little over a year now. It works better than any other filter we've tried, but it is a bit pricey for us as there seems to be a drastic reduction in filtering after 30 days.
We have year round allergies, and one indoor, short haired cat. We replace our filters on the first of every month. We have come to dread months with 31 days, since without fail, all 4 of us start sneezing after the 30th day. It's like flipping a switch. The cheapest we have found the filters is at our local hardware store, which is cheaper than anywhere else, online or otherwise. There doesn't seem to be a price break on the 3 or 6 packs that we have found, so we buy them one at a time, but like I said above, it can be pricey at $20/month.
Regardless, if we want any relief at all, we use Filtrete Ultra Allergen Reduction 1500.
