I have been using Filtrete filters since we had our new furnace installed. I have gotten great results and recommend these filters to others. We have pets, so it is important that the filter dose it's job
After using Filtrete filters from 1000 to 2200, I have found the 1500 best for us. My furnace man installed another brand when he did the fall checkup. I noticed more dusting to do, and waking up congested. After 30 days, I decided to replace it. It tore coming out of the slot.. I trashed it and put in the 1500. Our air quality is great, I know the 1500 by the bright purple package. I love it. It's a good investment for my family. My adult children use it too in their homes!.
I replace my filter on a quarterly basis, which is the perfect interval for me. After a month, the filter still looks like brand new, so changing it monthly would be wasteful. The 1500 filter seems to do an excellent job of maintaining a good indoor air quality. The only "problem" I've had is very slight variations in the actual size of the filter...sometimes the new filter fits in perfectly with no resistance, and other times I have to force it in.
Since my Allergist recommendded 3M filters about 10 yyears ago, I have been using new filter every 3 month. I noticed that the air quality in the house has improved. I even started using it in my church 5 years ago. I have noticed that the stores (Walmart and Lowes) where I buy this filter do not carry the exact size 15x20 so I have to use 16x20 and make a little cut on the edge to fit it. Also highest rating they have in store is 1500. I would like to use a higher rating.
I have been buying Filtrete filters for year but this is the first time for this particular filter. After a month it is performing very well ..... just as expected.
I have been using "reusable filters" for years and my Wife and I weren't happy with the results and increased dust. We decided to switch to Filtrete and set up a regular replacement schedule. We have noticed less dust and are very happy with the results. We are changing filters monthly right to hopefully solve our problem and will eventually review Filtrete's suggested replacement schedule and stick to that program.
