I have been buying this product for years and I'm very pleased how effective it cleans the air. I change it every three months and am amazed at how dirty it gets in that period of time.

I smoke and we also have three cats, so yes this filter works great for our family. It will really help with tobacco odors as well as cat odors and catch dust like no other just be sure to replace as needed or every three months at least. Great value for money as well. After replacing you can really tell difference in air quality.

These filters make a definite difference in my home to keep the air clean and pollen free. Whenever I change the filter I always note what is going on in my family , who came for dinner or which chores were being done.. like a mini journal.
It's fun to seen what was going on in my life on filter changing day. (-:

I use this filter on a consistent basis changing it out every 2-months during the summer and 3-months in winter. With a family that suffers from allergies, and living in the south, I won't use any other brand or product.
