Dead after 1 season!

I bought this product a year ago, used it last summer and it worked pretty good. Bring it out this summer, would not start. I had an extra battery, I installed that, it wouldn’t start. I bought a package of fresh batteries, installed one and it wouldn’t work. Totally frustrated!

Quit working

Purchased about 13-16 months ago and now out of warranty. It Quit Working. I just bought a new box of fuel & repellent pads and have only used a couple. There is no fuel flow to heat the pads. It kept the mosquitos of of my back porch and away from the front of my camper when it worked. so I suppose I need to buy another one because the fuel cells are proprietary. Frustrating!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not Effective for Mosquitos

I purchased this to help with mosquitos around the campsite instead of constantly using sprays. Unfortunately it was completely ineffective. I tried both a new fuel cell and a new pad and it was still ineffective.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the Thermacell unit and what makes it work against the mosquitoes. I really put it to the test in our raggedy back yard at the height of the swarm in MI this year and the mosquitoes wouldn't come near me! It was awesome! What keeps me from the 5-star rating is the holster and belt clip. There is no other way to say it, but they suck. I don't get even understand the holster; it seems unnecessarily complicated. The belt clip doesn't slide in snugly to hold the unit well, so if you bend just the right way, the unit falls off. I'll be gluing mine in place. Otherwise, this thing works very well and I will be using it a lot!
