I was skeptical. My neighborhood is infested with Asian Tiger Mosquitos, they are active all day, then we have regular mosquitos at night. Tried it in the backyard, and it worked. Yesterday afternoon I went hunting in a swampy creek bottom near my house, no issues using the Thermacell. A friend 50 yards away was not using one and was bothered by mosquitos all evening.

While in Canada for a bear hunt mosquitoes were atrocious! Once we started using our Thermacell’s we were able to enjoy our hunt and being up in the trees. We would have been eaten alive without them. Highly recommend using for hunting, fishing or any other outdoor activities!

Stopped Working After Second Use

Worked great the first two times I tried it. When I went to turn it on the third time it makes a noise and uses the butane but the hotplate doesn't work. It's useless. A waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm from northeast Arkansas, and I took mine out with me for a dove hunt. Only one very determined mosquito got to me the whole morning. I could literally see the wall of mosquitoes around me, like I was in a bubble of protection. I'm a believer!

Thermacells are GREAT

I have had one thermacell unit for several years. Never had to get another as the one I have has worked flawlessly. I have used it at home in Texas and in Canada bear hunting. The product is unbelievably effective and works just as well as advertised, if not better. I am astounded by negative reviews of this product which maintain it does not work.

I bought this product for now hunting after sitting in stand getting ate up. Used product the very next morning and mosquitos were gone. Thanks for a great product that does what it says it will do. I'm from Louisiana highly recommend if you hunt in the south and don't have this product with you you need to get one.

Opening day of archery deer season in the Central Virginia (Richmond) area 10-6-2018. I hunted near the Chickahominy Swamp area in the morning, and the mosquitoes were atrocious! I came down with less blood in my veins, and mad as a hornets nest! I went straight to a Walmart at lunch and bought one of these gems (MR 300). In the evening I went back in the woods, and DEEP into the swamp! I took my climber up to twenty feet high. I lit this unit off, forty mosquitoes turned into ten, then a few, and then NONE! I hung this thing from my stand on the upwind side of me, and that’s all it took. I did see five deer downwind, and out of bow range that fed for twenty minutes without any concern over scent. Attached are two pictures of the standing water, and mosquito rich slop I was hunting by. IT WORKED GREAT, and is the best $19.97 I have spent in a long time!!!! Thank you Thermacell.
