I bought this 3 days ago. Followed all instructions and set it on the yard area I was going to work 30 minutes before (they recommend 15). After 1.5 minutes I had 4 mosquito bites on my legs. Save your money. Use Off. So disappointed!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you are a hunter down south you need this! The scent doesn’t spook deer at all. Who ever invited this is a genius. Not a single mosquito bite over a hot humid bow hunting season. I will never use anything else in the woods again. Thank you Thermacell!!!

I've used these for years, and they are the only thing I've found that truly work, and they work beautifully. I mean, no mosquitoes in your zone, no lie. I used to live in Minnesota in an area of thick woods and marshes, and the mosquitoes were unbelievable. Thermacell works! I've been advocating them for years.
For those who think they don't work, consider using two (or more) at a time in your outdoor space. This is what I did in MN. Let them warm up. They WILL work, and they are the difference between gardening in peace, and enjoying your patio, your camping space, your tree stand or your boat, or running for cover as you scratch all the bites. No need to rub nasty, smelly chemicals all over your skin, or wear hats and layers of clothing, or wave a switch around you non-stop just to keep the bugs away. Easy to take with you. No need to hear that awful, whining buzz in your ear.
We now live in TX and this is the first year we have really had mosquitoes, but they are bad right now. I dusted off my Thermacell (after 6 years of non-use) and it fired up right away.
I LOVE this product.

I bought this for early deer hunting. First trip out I was sitting in my stand,never had a single mosquito. Shot a deer so I got down, put my gun and my mr300 in truck to drag my deer. Should have kept my mr300 on me. In the short time it took to get straps hooked to deer to pull out i was swarmed with mosquitoes.

If you hunt where there are mosquitos you MUST have one of these!! They absolutely work as advertised creating an invisible barrier around you that keeps those blood thirsty bugs at bay!! We hunt the marshy areas on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay - at times I will set up two Thermacells in my stand as the insane numbers of the mosquitos there can "carry you away" LOL

I am still using my original Thermacell that was purchased in 2010. Thinking it may stop working at any time I decided to purchase a back-up. The MR300 was an excellent choice for me. I rarely go to the woods or work in my garden without taking a Thermacell with me. If mosquitoes are a problem for you purchase the MR300.
