This is the 3rd unit we have purchased and love them all.I have the older version that my family keeps taking so I purchased this for my own use. The case is awesome and allows for carrying additional tanks and strips. The clip works well on the boat and on a hunting vest.

Not what was expected. Stood in my front yard with it for 15 minutes and still was attacked by mosquitoes. I literally live in the woods and was told that I would be able to be in the yard and not get bitten.

I’m just wondering if you have to keep it attached to tour body to keep the bugs away? I had it attached to a chair about 5 feet from me, no wind, and was still getting bit.

• Please be sure to properly insert the fuel cartridge and replace it approximate every 12 hours. Also, you should replace the insect repellent mats approximately every 4 hours (it will turn white on the top side).
• To ensure the unit is working properly, please be sure that there is an orange light glowing in the view hole (… on the top of the repeller or on the brim of the lantern)
• This product is fueled by butane which means it starts very much like a gas grill does. Turn the valve on, wait 5 seconds, then click “start”. It might take a few times like it takes a few times to get a grill going!

Great BUT

I bought this yesterday the repeller works fine but the unit does not come with a clip to carry it on your belt or pack this is the first product from Thermacell that I've not been happy with I'll not be recommending this product if it had a carry clip I would you can't even buy one. If I had known that it did not have a clip I would not have bought it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only problem is repellent pads only last exactly two hours,not four hours as advertised.
