Disappointed and unhappy with product longevity

In the last two years we have purchased (2) B&D 12 Cup Programmable Coffeemakers; Model DCM100B. Each unit ran great for about a year and then suddenly, without warning, would not brew the coffee. The power was definitely on to the unit; the clock worked fine, however, neither the instant on nor the auto on would kick in to brew coffee. We stuck to the recommended cleaning schedule for each unit. That our units were purchased over a year apart and had the exact same problem tells me this product has quality issues. I'm not happy. We have given up on B&D for coffee makers. We purchased based on brand name and found that really meant nothing as related to this particular product. I see the manufacture of this item was outsourced to overseas. Maybe if this item was made here in the USA I wouldn't be experiencing this quality issue and brand name (Black & Decker) disappointment.

Quit working less than 1 year from purchase

I'm very disappointed in the reliability of my Black & Decker 12 cup programmable coffeemaker, Model DCM100B. This unit quit working less than 1 year from purchase. It was programmed to start brewing this a.m, and nothing happened. The on light is illuminated but the unit is not working.

Quit working after 3 months!

Coffee maker worked fine for 3 months making one pot of coffee per day. Then at month three, it stopped working. Took back to store with receipt and got replacement. Will try it again. Maybe it was just a fluke??? Box says guaranteed for two years. I just expected a better experience.

It's Junk

The burner hardly works. and the replacement decanters don't fit, so you have to manualy push it in to keep the brewer to perk.Junk quality.

Be Careful!

I went to get a cup of coffee lifted the pot up and had the handle but no pot! It landed on the counter. I ended up with burns on my stomach and a mess to clean up! I fixed the handle made another pot went to pick it up and it came apart again!!! Thank goodness it stayed on the burner. Needless to say right now it is useless. I love B & D products but this thing is scary and going back!

This Coffee Maker Is Very Easy To Use. My Coffee Comes Out Always How I Like It And The 2 Hour Auto Shutoff Function Is Perfect For Anyone Who Forgets To Turn Off Your Coffee Maker. The Coffee Is Always Hot. I Give This Product 10/10

HAVE HAD THIS COFFEE MAKER FOR A FEW YEARS - LOVE IT AND LOOKING TO REPLACE WITH SAME MODEL FOR HUSBAND FOR CHRISTMAS. IT STILL WORKS FINE BUT HAS STAINS FROM WATER CHEMICALS/SPILT COFFEE - OUR FAULT DUE TO LACK OF REGULAR CLEANING. GREAT MODEL.

Coffee pot, messy, burns you, and a waste

This was supposed to a gift. I don't have the heart to tell my fiance his gift is garbage! Especially when he was being thoughtful. Mornings stink if one thing that goes wrong our morning is shot. The pot leaks I'm left with a huge mess and wasted coffee. I have to brew 2× more coffee because half is wasted. I have burned the heck out of my hand a few times by holding my cup and pouring trying to alleviate the leaking. But I just use the sink and watch 50% of it go down the drain. I could have bought a new coffee pot with what I have wasted in coffee. I still have it but only because it was a gift and I don't want to hurt his feelings.
