Simply died - short lifespan

I bought this Coffee maker just over a year ago from a store. I loved the style & size of it, as it made 12 cups of HOT coffee when i needed the capacity. It was not very tall and fit nicely on my counter. The price was reasonable. I bought it most specifically because of it's simplicity: the auto timer, auto shut off and height if it. Although the clock jumped a few minutes here and there, that didn't bother me. However, this week, the Maker simply died. Although it had power and the clock was working, the Maker would not siphon the water to brew our morning Java nor did the plate get warm. We tried various outlets and resetting the clock, timer, etc. Unfortunately the manual does not offer troubleshooting. Thank goodness i did not have a house full of guests. Not sure if i would buy another one of these brands.

poor quality

Can't give a minus rating so I choose the lowest score possible. I bought this coffee maker on 4/12/18 and it is the worst purchase I've ever made. I will never purchase another B&D appliance. The coffee overflows, grounds and hot coffee/water everywhere. If I wanted "cowboy" coffee I would brew over an open fire. Poor product and very unsatisfied

Brand new- overflows every time.

I just bought this about a month ago and every single time I use it it overflows. I've tried different filters, different coffee- nothing works. I would not recommend.

Although advertised to have a reusable basket so you don't need to get filters.....that part was missing. Poor form.

This coffee maker does have the brew basket to hold the filter, but it does not come with a permanent filter that can be used in place of paper filters. One of the worst I've ever owned

Purchased about 4 months ago. Constant problems with overflowing all over my kitchen. Coffee does not flow into or out of the filter basket correctly. Have cleaned it thoroughly multiple times and always check to make sure the carafe is seated correctly. You loose a cup or two out of every pot, have to clean you counter & floor every time, the coffee is always full of grounds and tastes burnt. Will not purchase another. Based on the number of complaints I've seen from others who are all having the same problem, it's not even worth sending back for warranty service. Why would I want another one?

This product works well overall with one flaw.

This product works well overall, but has one flaw. I almost always have grinds that settle in the pot. When I noticed this, I had already purchased filters that were a little short. So I put those away and purchased some that were taller. The grinds still come into the pot. When I take the basket out to wash it, that is when I notice how the grinds have risen to the top of the filter and over. This is not good when you are sipping on your coffee and have to contend with grinds in your cup and mouth. I might add that this occurs no matter how much coffee I put into the basket. My usual amount is enough for two cups a day.

Do not buy this coffee maker!

I bought this coffee maker a few months ago. The lid that covers the water reserve sticks out from the rest of the pot. It leaks water all over the place. Just about a week ago it started leaking coffee too. I want my money back or a different model coffee maker.
