Auto shut-off

This is a nice coffee maker, but the big drawback for me is the 2 hour auto-shutoff feature. My husband gets up at 5:00 coffee maker is turned on. By the time I get up at 8:00 the coffee is cold. There is no way to set it so it stays on. I guess most programmable coffee makers have this feature that I was not aware of. This one is going back in the box and getting returned tomorrow.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Did Not Last A Full Year

I bought this coffee maker 10 months ago and it suddenly stopped brewing coffee today. I faithfully cleaned it according to the owners manual. it worked perfectly before today and I love all the features this particular model has, but I feel it should've lasted more that 10 months before it stopped working.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Digital Display

The basic product works well, however, only days after the purchase the digital display lost one of the digits in the display screen. This eliminates the possiblility of telling time or programming the product. This is a real inconvenience.

Not bad for the price; Brew time is very slow

This coffee maker is nice and compact; not taking up much counter top space. That was the primary selling feature for me. It's not a bad coffee maker for the price; however, the brewing time is very slow. It takes more than 10 minutes for 6 cups to brew. If you don't mind the wait...

Plastic, burned taste and smell to coffee

I thought the smell and taste of plastic would diminish after brewing several pots, but it has not. Odor and taste of coffee make the coffee maker unusable and a waste of money.

Makes Good Coffee

Our previous coffee maker was over 15 years old and its life ended when the power cord was accidentally dropped on a hot stove element. We have replaced it with this cofee maker. After doing the initial run throughs, we made coffee with 3 scoops from our coffee holder. It made coffee the same as our old one. Why improve on a good thing.

I purchased this coffee maker...and loved it. Until I had a problem with the warming plate. I previously wrote a review summary about the product - that was not so favorable. However, since that posting, I have had great success/response from Black and Decker. They were very helpful regarding my concerns. Would I buy another coffee maker from B&D??? I sure would. Great price, looks nice on the counter, and makes tasty coffee. Thank you B&D for helping me with my concern.

poor quality

this coffee maker broke within one month of purchase and it's only used 2-3 times a week. The water no longer moves through the filter. This is a very cheap coffee maker and I would not recommend anyone purchase it. Pay a little more and get something that lasts.
