This product doesn't last very long.

I have always enjoyed Black & Decker products but unfortunately this product does not hold up. I have now had three of the same coffee maker and all have gone out after only a few months of use. They just stop brewing. Black & Decker has not actually replaced any of the coffee makers and the store where they were purchased was less than helpful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replacement carafes do not work with this coffeema

If you break a carafe, B&D does not make the correct model replacement carafe (DCM100B-01). Their supposedly suitable replacement will not allow the coffee to drain from the basket to the carafe. So if you break the carafe, just throw away the whole system. However, the coffee maker makes good coffee and is easy to use.

I have been pretty pleased with this coffeemaker. I have not been pleased with the replacement carafe. I cracked the original after about 2 years and bought the recommended replacement. I had the correct model number and the replacement carafe was the correct one, but it does not fit well and the basket will not drain fast enough. I have had several times of grounds in the coffee and have resorted to placing a heavy object against the carafe to push the spring to empty the basket of coffee.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quit after 4 months

Purchased in late November 2011, worked fine until 3/25/2012, but then the pump and heating element quit. Of course, we didn't register it. Companies bank on few consumers registering small appliances. We won't buy B&D appliances again, but will register everything now.

I have made four pots of coffe with this product. It quit working. Unfortunately I did not keep the receipt. Not a good product.

The pot on the coffee maker is horrible, no matter how slow you pour water leaks and pour everywhere.

A waste of money

Bought this coffee maker because of the features...unfortunately it didn't leave up to my expectations: timer would not work and the appliance would not auto shut off. I just cannot wait to return it to the store for full refund

I bought this model only 6 months ago, now coffee will not brew. Nothing works at all. Complete waste of my money
