Doesn't fit my unit

Just purchased a 16x25x5 model for my furnace, and this does not fit.

Severe Air Flow Restriction

I bought this product because it was the right size to replace my Electronic Air Filter, that had died.
I installed it and all seemed well. After about 1 month I noticed the A/C unit was running continuously and the temp in the house was going Up. I noticed that very little air was coming out of the vents.
Turns out that the filter material had sort of Swollen-up and cut the width of the 'pleats' by more than half. Basically, it was like having a 30-day filter in your furnace for a year!
After de-frosting the unit and mopping up all the water, all is now normal with a different filter.
I would like my $30+ back please!

Best Filter for Us

This is the only product I purchase for our furnace. I particularly like that it only requires changing once a year. When we changed ours for 2024 we discovered that it could have remained in place longer.

Filtrete 1500 is great

4 in filter too wide

I purchased this based on the recommendation of my HVAC installer. The filter is TOO WIDE to fit in the AC. The 4 in filter is wider than the "same size" 1 in filter. Are there any narrower options as opposed to slim options i.e thinner.

Poor Construction, design

Put the model 16x25x4 in Bryant furnace, after one run the cardboard retaining material was sucked in and had to destroy it to get it out. As a 3M stockholder I am not happy\.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is fair

My family and I moved into our 2800 square foot house in Minnesota almost two years ago. The filter that was in the furnace was not a 3M Filtrete filter and it was disgusting. I bought this product because it was the only filter of this size offered at the store where I bought it. I thought it would be a good deal considering it said that it would last up to 12 months. I'm no dummy, I know that when something says that it'll last up to any amount of time, that time should be cut in half under "normal" Minnesota conditions. Cutting to the chase, this product doesn't even last 3 months, and that's in the fall when the furnace fan never runs! We even had our ducts cleaned before installing our last filter. The product definitely works because of all the "stuff" trapped in it, but for a product to have a label on it stating that it will last up to 12 months, it should at least last 6 month in Minnesota conditions. I would recommend this product to anyone, however I would have to warn them about the replacement period being so frequent.
