IMPOSSIBLE for elderly to open

The packaging is NOT senior friendly and was IMPOSSIBLE for my elderly parents to open and extremely difficult for me to cut the packaging. I understand the need for child safety, however there has to be a better way. We will NOT be using these again due to awful packaging. I do not believe you tested properly with elderly and your quality control failed. Do not purchase this product!
"...the packs are senior-considerate...", more like senior proof. I want to see the video of 80-90yo opening package. And who carries scissor around daily? Better send this back to package development for re-do.
Wow, you have to have some serious scissors and finger strength to cut out each individual battery. And no, I'm not feeble and work on cars, play guitar, etc. Just received (20) packs of 312CR-6LNCUS from VA and tested some with two volt meters, one an expensive meter. They only show about 1.32V to1.34V out of the box. They're supposed to be 1.45 Volts???
These are the worse hearing aid batteries I have used. I get my batteries through the VA who has a contract with RAYOVAC. Most times I have to use two batteries in each hearing aid per day. I tried a different brand and the batteries lasted 3 days.
I would give -10 stars if that were possible! I am a healthy 30 yr old Audiologist and work with hearing aids everyday. I recently have received these child proof batteries with new orders and they are IMPOSSIBLE to get open with any amount of ease. The plastic is thick and very difficult to cut open and lift off the battery. If I can't get them out of the package how can I expect my elderly patients to be able to??? It literally takes all my effort to cut through the packaging to get a battery out. I've had 4 patients in 3 weeks return their aids or switch to rechargeable just because the battery packaging was too much for them! and they were all previous users with 312 battery aids.
I have used the round packaging in the past - and expected it to be easy to rotate to release the batteries. It does not ROTATE! Each battery must be cut out like a piece of pie. Cutting through 2 layers of tough plastic is either going to ruin my scissors or my hand. I'm disappointed in the packaging - and bought multiple batteries online for use in my husband's hearing aids.
