child resistant package

This new child resistant package not only keeps children from opening pack, but also seniors. This packaging is horrible, takes an hour to open it. Give us an option of either child resistant, or old dial open one.

CHILD PROOF PACKAGING IS TERRIBLE

I UNDERSTAND THE NEED FOR CHILD PROOF BUT THE FACT THAT YOU NEED TO CARRY SCISSORS OR SOME SHARP DEVICE TO ACCESS A FRESH BATTERY IS COUNTERINTUITIVE. YOU CAN'T ALWAYS HAVE ACCESS TO A SHARP DEVICE WHEN NEEDED BECAUSE OF A DEAD BATTERY. I WON'T BUY THEM ANYMORE UNTIL YOU REDESIGN THE PACKAGING.

Rethink your child-proof packaging

Just purchased my first 312 hearing aid batteries in the new packaging. They are impossible to open. Additionally, ruined a perfectly good pair of scissors trying. Unreasonable to expect people to carry around scissors. I notice they are produced in United Kingdom instead of United States as they used to be.

Packaging too hard to open (even with scissors)

I have been using ray o vac 312’s for years, but I no longer can. New packaging impossible to open without scissors (VERY hard even WITH scissors). I don’t carry scissors with me everywhere I go. I can’t even get them open with a pocket knife. (And scissors are dangerous for children, also) Please let me know when/ if you resolve this issue- meanwhile, I have to switch to a different brand.

Absolutely the worst packaging I've ever encounter

It is nearly impossible to get the batteries out of this packaging with cutting your fingers, breaking your scissors, and teaching your spouse a whole host of new curse words. I will never (purposely) buy these batteries again.

Terrible packaging-too difficult to remove battery

The new childproof and allegedly "senior " considerate battery packaging is a joke. They are almost impossible to cut with scissors. I'm 85 with good hand strength and dexterity. It takes several minutes to cut and extract a single battery. This is unacceptable! If I'm away from home without scissors, then I can't replace the battery even if I have a package with me! The plastic itself is very difficult to cut with ordinary scissors. It takes heavy duty scissors or a special "package cutting" device to cut them as suggested. Then the battery flips out of the packaging when you do get it opened, usually on the floor. Surely you can design something better and more convenient!

Extremely difficult to open

i must replace 312 Batteries for my 92 year husband who is deaf without hearing aids. The new packaging i have to deal with is not at all easy. Do you expect one to carry scissors with them, since batteries go out at any time or place? Child proof is not the big problem, poor new packaging is the problem.

These 312's lasted longer than ever. And consistent, no more guessing.
