312 hearing aid batteries - packaging

I'm a veteran, get my batteries front the VA. Recently received rayovac 312 batteries from them. Your child proof packaging is also adult proof. I tried the scissors and found that the plastic is so hard that I couldn't cut as shown on packaging. You can be sure of one thing. If I had to pay for my batteries I would not buy rayovac due to the packaging. I had to destroy the package to get the batteries out. Now that creates a new problem of how to keep up with the batteries until needed for use. Your packaging designer totally failed.

Good Batteries, Terrible Packaging

The batteries are good. I like them. The new child-resistant packing is extremely difficult for me to open. I have arthritic hands and fingers. Even high quality scissors like Fiskars and Titan do not cut it easily. It takes many cuts to free the batteries. And the cut edges are sharp and have cut my fingers. Also, the old packaging was easier to store and carry spare batteries, and much easier to get a fresh battery when it was needed. The new packaging requires I carry scissors (but not on a plane). Please bring back the old packaging, or make the new packaging easier to open.

Love the batteries. Hate the packaging.

I have used Rayovac 312 hearing aid batteries for a decade or more and loved them nd depended on them. But the new child-resistant packaging is a deal breaker. It seems I often have to change batteries when I'm away from the house and without scissors. What am I supposed to do!?! Change the batteries before they need to be, just so I can do it at home?

Harder to open than a jar of pickles!!

I can’t believe the package is this hard to open even with scissors. Total fail! This product is used mostly by seniors and you make it practically impossible to open. I had to get out my wire cutters to open the darn thing and then had to make three cuts to get out one battery. Maybe put some directions on the package.

Finger cut on the packaging

The child-proof packaging is ridiculous. I cut myself every time. I use pliers, and the batteries are scattered all over the kitchen.

The batteries are fine, it's the packaging that is horrible. Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or super strong. I bought shears that are made to cut through chicken bones and they won't cut through the packaging. Senior friendly my butt. I would not recommend this product until the morons who decided to design and approve this packaging goes back to the way it was. Maybe try another company for a design for packaging..

Child resistant packaging

The new child resistant packaging for the hearing aid batteries is absolutely terrible. My neighbor asked me to help her and it was almost impossible to get the battery out. I have had to use hearing aids for 50 years and I have never seen such a poor packaging. Please reconsider this "improvement". I will not purchase these batteries again in this packaging. I hope that other makers of hearing aid batteries do not adopt this. The batteries are great, but the packaging is NOT user friendly. Especially for the elderly.
