Exceptionally difficult to open

The batteries are good, once you manage to get them out of the package without tearing your hands apart. You need scissors, and then you get sharp edges to try to pry open without slicing your fingers. Want to carry a pack in your pocket or purse? Better carry a pair of scissors as well. If your batteries die while you're out--as has happened to me several times--you can't just drop into a drugstore and buy a pack. You'll also have to buy a pair of scissors.

Thank you for submitting your review. Many thanks for you feedback on the new child-resistant packaging. We have changed the packaging format to be in compliance with Reese’s Law, which states that all button, coin and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – must be contained in child-resistant packaging that features specific warning copy. The products have been subject to rigorous independent tests, confirming that the new packaging is 100% child resistant*, and zero batteries were accessed by children during CRP testing.* The new plastic dial includes additional staking points for extra security. By that nature it does mean that there will be a difference for users in how to access batteries in the pack, compared to previous packaging. The independent testing also showed that 99% of seniors were able to open the pack for the first time in under one minute*. On the second attempt, this time halved* so we found that consumers become faster with more familiarity and with instruction. We want to support everyone through the transition to child-resistant packaging and have prepared the following video that shows you how to open the pack.

i bought these batteries and have found them extremely difficult to open. they are "Child Proof", but they are also so hard for an adult to open. Considering that many seniors wear hearing aids, have strength difficulties, arthritis and sight problems these are awful!!!!

Child resistant packaging

The new child resistant packaging for the hearing aid batteries is absolutely terrible. My neighbor asked me to help her and it was almost impossible to get the battery out. I have had to use hearing aids for 50 years and I have never seen such a poor packaging. Please reconsider this "improvement". I will not purchase these batteries again in this packaging. I hope that other makers of hearing aid batteries do not adopt this. The batteries are great, but the packaging is NOT user friendly. Especially for the elderly.

312 hearing aid batteries.

The batteries are fine, it's the packaging that is horrible. Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or super strong. I bought shears that are made to cut through chicken bones and they won't cut through the packaging. Senior friendly my butt. I would not recommend this product until the morons who decided to design and approve this packaging goes back to the way it was. Maybe try another company for a design for packaging..

The child-proof packaging is ridiculous. I cut myself every time. I use pliers, and the batteries are scattered all over the kitchen.
