Batteries are great, the new child proof is terrible! The plastic is double thick, not easy to cut at all! After you cut it out, you have to try to pry the two cut halves apart. Watch out for the sharp corners. The old package was simple and quick, the problem with those batteries was the very short pull off tabs. I HATE THIS NEW PACKAGE!!

Smaller packaging, harder to get into

I wear hearing aids and have been buying the 16 pack 312 batteries, but now our store has a shipment of the new packaged 12 packs. The plastic is so tough, I had to have my retired mechanic husband open them. Please reconsider the material you are putting the batteries into. Don't get me wrong-I love the batteries, but cannot open the package!

Requires an EOD team to open it. Took me twenty minutes to open it. Simple scissors did not work well. Tell the kids no or store them properly. It's the parents not the kids who are at fault. Put it back to SIMPLE. Recommendation does not apply to this situation as it is not about the batteries. .

The batteries work well. This new child resistant packaging is also adult resistant. These batteries are mostly for older adults and should be easy for us to use.

Love the batteries for my hearing aids, but the new packaging is awful. I feel the older packaging was more user friendly for seniors.

The idiots who designed the new "child proof" package should have to try, even with scissors, to get a battery ... while being shocked with a cattle prod every 30 seconds. Outrageous! And I'm a strong, capable man.

Horrible packaging/Not remotely user friendly

I’ve used these batteries for years but the new packaging is so inaccessible that I’m changing brands. Who can carry kitchen shears in a purse or pocket?! That’s the only tool that opens this new packaging. Too bad…you’ve ruined what was a great product. Someone forgot the old adage, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!”. You can mark it as child protective and sell fewer batteries per pack but in doing so you’ve lost customers. Even the tabs are shorter. What seniors did you test? Someone with arthritis could never open these. Shame!Shame!

The Veteran's Administration provided a 6-month supply of these last week. I took the first pack wit me when I flew to Michigan from California. I couldn't carry scissors with me on the plane, even if I had thought I needed them. When my batteries died, it was IMPOSSIBLE to open the package and replace batteries in my hearing aids.
