Rayovac catering to PC rather than Consumer

I've used Rayovac 312's for quite a few years. If Rayovac is trying to get out of the hearing aid battery business; You have certainly taken a great first step. Even as a Senior, why would I have to take anywhere close to a minute to get a battery out of the packaging. There's a pair of scissors in the picture...a chainsaw would be a better description. Thank Goodness there's the Internet. Good Bye Rayovac 312's.

Poor Packaging

Who in the world designed the new packages of 312 batteries? "child resistant", also senior resistant, CNA resistant, LPN resistant, and RN resistant. Had to take the package to maintenance department and have it cut open with a rotary tool. I consider this REDICULOUS!! You had a good design where you rotate the batteries around to an opening, and simply drop the battery out. Who ever thought this new design was a good idea needs to have their employment with Rayovac reevaluated.

I NEED TO SEE A VIDEO - this missed QC !

I wear hearing aids and am not yet a senior, but here I am, struggling and prying and breaking out tools because scissors can BARELY cut through this packaging! I feel sad and sorry for seniors that struggle with the original packaging, anyways! I am all for children safety, but these batteries don't run tonka trucks! This is BEYOND ridiculous and there is NO way anyone on a quality control team actually tried to get through this packaging with a normal pair of scissors. I NEED TO SEE A VIDEO OF THE SUGGESTED PROCESS TO ACCESS THESE BATTERIES IN THIS CHILD RESISTANT PACKAGING. Or I am NEVER buying Rayovac again. Customer service is horrible already!

Child Proof Packaging is AWFUL

Battery life is fine but trying to get to a new battery is ridiculously difficult. I don't have arthritis or any issues with my hands, so I can imagine how difficult getting into the packaging is for those that do. And who carries scissors around all the time? Please reconsider the packaging or offer both child-proof and non-child-proof as options.

There is no way you can open this new packaging for 312 hearing aid batteries with scissors. Even a knife cutter won't open them. Have to have screwdriver & two plyers.
This is unacceptable. What if you are out and your hearing aid batteries go out. You have
to have screwdriver & plyers with you & spend about 5 minutes & struggle to get them
opened. It's rediculous there has to be another solution. I'm sure you have been swamped with complaints. Elderly people will not be able to get them opened. I feel sorry
for them.

Yes, but a HUGE Buyer Beware

Great batteries, VERY DIFFICULT packaging.
I will be modifying the packaging so I don't have to (try to) carry scissors or cutting devices on the airplane. These are childproof AND adult-proof. I'm still playing complex piano and doing fine woodwork, so it's not me. Somebody goofed in the packaging design and approval / beta testing process
Industrial designers with children, please check in and help this situation!
