Packaging

As a long-time user of Rayovac I was surprised with the. new child proof packaging. I did notice the 99% easy-open survey you stated, but PLEASE.!! The survey must have been made up of 60-year-old male bodybuilders with full toolboxes, definitely not 87-year-old women with kitchen shears. The package is impossible. I'll keep checking in hopes that the packaging changes back to easy-open. BTW do children no longer have caregivers? Safety measures should be reasonable, not this extreme.

Cannot Open Package

Purchased a box of 60 batteries. I cannot open them. Have arthritis in my "scissor" hand, and scissors could not cut through the plastic. I will probably end up in the ER with severe cuts before this is over. Complete fail.

unfortunate packaging

These are so hard for me as a senior to use. I understand that with scissors it may be possible to extract a battery but unfortunately life does not make it easy to carry scissors around. If I'm in my car and I need a new battery; forget it. If I've take a trip involving an airplane or cruise ship; forget it. Whoever came up with this design was surely not a senior citizen.

Terrible packaging

I consider myself to be very physically able but I find removing a battery from its packaging to be extremely frustrating. If I needed to change a battery when I didn't have access to a good set of heavy duty shears, I would not be able to do it. The only option is to remove all the batteries from that ridiculous packaging and store them in an easily accessible container for future use. That defeats the purpose of the "childproof packaging". I will be looking for easily open packages for my future purchases.

Child Proof Packaging? Terrible for us seniors

This new child proof packaging for the 6 pack 312 batteries is also nearly senior proof. The reason I bought Rayovac batteries for my hearing aid was the senior friendly packaging. It would help for you to go back to your old packaging. Now I guess I will have to look at some other brands for my size 312 batteries.

Longest lasting batteries, no longer easy to open.

My wife and I have been using RayOVac 312 batteries for about 10 years, because they last longer than any others. But now they are almost impossible to open with the child proof packaging. Our children are in their 50s so child proofing is not very important to us. Our next hearing aids will be rechargeable.

New packaging difficult to access

I didn't realize that the new packaging requires scissors. I was not in my home and required a battery change. What a major inconvenience as I do not carry scissors in my purse. I will not purchase this brand any longer.

Ridiculous Packaging

I have used Rayovac batteries for over40 years. That has just ended. The new Child Proof packaging is ridiculous. Couldn't open with scissors. Almost cut myself with pocket knife and the kitchen shears didn't work. Ended up in shop with tin snips. These batteries are only good at home because you would never be able to open the package without tools.
