New packaging

Requires an EOD team to open it. Took me twenty minutes to open it. Simple scissors did not work well. Tell the kids no or store them properly. It's the parents not the kids who are at fault. Put it back to SIMPLE. Recommendation does not apply to this situation as it is not about the batteries. .

Worst idea ever for child proofing 312 batteries

Good grief! Obviously the Ray-O-Vac safety team members do not wear hearing aids! How does a person remove battery for his/her hearing aid without carrying a pair of scissors? Get their teeth sharpened?

They are both child and adult proof. Unquestionably the worst packaging I have ever encountered for anything

Child Resistant Packaging is Horrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new child resistant packaging is very difficult for seniors on the go who need to replace their hearing aid batteries right away. Who carries scissors with them to use at a moment's notice to access new batteries? TSA for flights doesn't even allow passengers to carry on scissors. Seniors should have the option of obtaining the 312 batteries without the childproof packaging, just like they have the option of requesting medication in non-childproof packaging. Seniors who do not have children in their homes need to be able to access their batteries easily.

hate the new packaging

Hate the new packaging. I get that the old packaging was not very child proof but, how are people who use hearing aids, AKA older adults, suppose to open the package??? If you have arthritics, gripping a pair of scissors and cutting the hard plastic is next to impossible. Not everyone lives with someone who can help.
If you are, out and about, and your battery dies, do you just, pull out your trusty pair of scissor and have at it?? Who carries scissors??

Batteries 4.0…. packaging 0.0

Batteries are OK, not significantly different from any other…
BUT the packaging SUCKS… not only is it child proof but adult proof as well.
I don’t always have a pair of scissors at hand when I need to change batteries.

Yes, but a HUGE Buyer Beware

Great batteries, VERY DIFFICULT packaging.
I will be modifying the packaging so I don't have to (try to) carry scissors or cutting devices on the airplane. These are childproof AND adult-proof. I'm still playing complex piano and doing fine woodwork, so it's not me. Somebody goofed in the packaging design and approval / beta testing process
Industrial designers with children, please check in and help this situation!
