Very difficult to open package

Contrary to what the ads say, these child proof cases are VERY difficult to open. I’m a fit 80 year old and began using Rayovac batteries on the recommendation of my audiologist. I do like the batteries. They last longer than other batteries but I’ve hurt myself several times trying to get in the packaging. I had to resort to scissors that cut steel to get them open. I get the need to child proof them but if consumers can’t access the product, what good are they. I’m sorry to leave Rayovac, but I feel I have no other choice. Buyer beware.

The new packaging is impossible to open. You need scissors to cut it open. I always keep an extra package in my purse in case batteries go dead while I'm away from home. Do I know have to keep a pair of scissors in my purse. Also they started making the tabs shorter. Very hard to handle and replace. These are terrible. The old packaging made so much more sense.

When I finally got access to a battery, two came out. I need to buy more batteries in order to have a pack for my purse and I could have used one last night when both my hearing aids went out.

Terrible Packaging!

Did anyone at your company actually TRY to open this package design before you decided to use it? I have used Rayovac batteries exclusively. When I opened the new pack of batteries today I thought the wrong ones were shipped because the package was different. I tried to compare them to the old ones and I couldn't get the package open! I had scissors on my desk to cut the packaging as instructed, but they couldn't cut through that hard plastic. I ended up using the tips of the scissors to peel back part of the backing until I could get a battery out...then had to do that again for a second one. More than 5 minutes to retrieve 2 batteries and the plastic is now bent and mangled and sharp. I appreciate the purpose is to make the packaging childproof, but they're adult proof too--I wished I had my garden shears to cut through that plastic! 58 more batteries in my pack of 60, but then I may have to switch to another brand. The batteries may not be as good, but at least I won't have to carry shears around with me to get them open. Epic Fail Rayovac!

Worst packaging ever

I have used Rayovac batteries for my hearing aids for 20 years. They are dependable and reliable. But my latest order came with your new childproof packing. Total crap. There is no way to open the batteries without a major struggle. The plastic is tough and VERY difficult to cut thru. The spacing between batteries has melted points that are almost impossible to cut thru. Unless you have some tips or pointers or A NEW SYSTEM, I'll switch to a new brand. You ought to give the packaging engineer who designed this one a demotion. WORST PACKAGING SYSTEM EVER!

Childproof packaging is NOT senior friendly

My most recent purchase showed up with child proof packaging. This is extremely difficult for seniors and you have neglected one thing. Any child can grab a pair of scissors and get these open. Child proof packaging is a failure in this case for everyone.

Horrible Packaging - 312 Hearing Aid Batteries

Not even an adult can open the child proof packaging! I agree to make it safe so a child can't get their hand on them but let's do it with the user in mind. Not to mention the slick move of switching from a 3 pack of 8 in each circle to a 2 pack with only 6 in a circle. I don't believe the price went down. If it did, not noticeable. It's too bad - the batteries are great. You advertise them as lasting longer than any other and they truly do. But the lack of ingenuity in the child proof packaging cost you a customer. I'll be switching to a competitor so I don't have to take 10 minutes to get the batteries out of the pack. If you get a better packaging and go back to putting the same amount of batteries that you used to have in a pack, I'll be back.

New Packaging is an abomination

It may be "childproof " but additionally it is senior citizen proof or anyone with arthritis in their hands. What were your packaging engineers thinking? Also, your original packaging had 8 batteries, your new packaging has only 6 with no seemingly reduction in pricing.
