I have used the 18 x 24 since replacing my air conditioner unit for a larger one and it has done an excellent job of capturing all air borne particles. I have 2 rescued dogs who shed a lot, even after daily brushing, so I change the filter monthly. I also have a UV light on the A/C to improve the air quality as much as possible because I have allergic asthma that is triggered by allergens. My only problem is the store invariably is out of the size I want; so, I buy several at a time to be sure I have them when needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two things I used to gage a 'potentially' bad allergy day in Fort Worth, TX., during spring or fall: 1. windy day, and 2. green dust accumulated on my car windshield in the morning from the previous day. Unfortunately, for this part of the country, it is inevitable to avoid. I have used Filtrete filters for more than 10 years and I have to agreed with so many of you, it is a great product.
