Filters work well but outer edge has been changed

I have been purchasing these filters for many years. In the past year or two, am not exactly sure of timeframe, the outer edge of these filters was changed. Now, the outer edge easily collapses and does not hold the frame firmly. This makes installing the filter difficult without bending or damaging the filter frame.
It seems some cost-cutting measure was enacted. I don't know of better alternatives, so I will stick with this brand for now, but I am very unhappy with how fragile and bendable the outer frame has become.
Filtrete, please start making these with the sturdy frames you used to make.

THE Top of the line 3M air filter.

The top of the line filter from 3M, and it cost 31 cents a day to filter the air that goes into the lungs of my 3 favorite people and my mother in law.

Our Unit is 16 Years Old . . .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] and we have used ONLY Filtrete filters since our house was built and we moved in. Other friends have not done as we have recommended and have paid the price. Our unit is serviced 2 times a year and with each service we get very inexpensive filters which we discard. We change out our filters every 3 months (I have a reminder set on my phone). A few of our servicemen have commented on the fact that our unit looks very good and I always tell them that I attribute that to the filters we use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Minimizes Dust and stuffed noses

replacement for Ultra Allergen reduction 1250??

No listing for Ultra Allergen Reduction filter 1250 and no sizes. Why not list Critical installation size 20×17×1.
