Plenty of power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this tool when I was changing the breaks on my truck. Plenty of torque to break free the lug nuts. It’s even small enough to fit into fairly small places such as behind the calipers. Fit great in my hand and doesn’t weigh too much.

DCF891 Mid-range Impact wrench

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the DCF891 1/2” mid range impact wrench to rotate my tires on my F250. It loosened the lugs in mode 2 with no issue at all and plenty of power to spare. There are 4 modes total, screw and then 1-3. This is an awesome tool to have for larger jobs where more torque is needed. I plan on using this on an upcoming job where I will need to install some Simpson 1/2”x8” concrete lag bolts and don’t expect it to have any issue driving them all the way in. This impact wrench has quite a bit of torque for just the mid-range unit, and the weight and size are just right. Overall a great tool!

Power that will not disappoint.

From power lags to stubborn bolts, this thing does it all without breaking a sweat. When its not getting used in the shop, it rides around in my wife's car giving her peace of mind that changing a tire on the side of the road will be a breeze thanks to this impact. It does exactly what I have asked of it in every situation and would recommend it to anyone.

Controllable beast

This new mid torque impact wrench is way strong but in a manageable way.this model compared to the last mid torque is a whole new game it's more powerful than some high torque units but the different speed selector and smart modes keeps it very user friendly. If your looking for the best all around impact wrench on the face of the earth look no farther you can't beat the dcf891

Tire changer/life saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well where do I start! This impact is amazing. I had gotten this impact with the intent of using it in my emergency kit in my pickup. Changing tires on the truck or any of the trailers I pull. And sure enough I needed it! I had gotten a flat on an old rusty trailer. Could not for the life of me get the lugs to break loose with my lug wrench. Remembered I had added the Dewalt to my truck kit, grabbed it and it took off those rusty old lug nuts like it was nothing! Is it overkill for this application? Maybe. But I never worry whether or not I can change a tire on the side of the road anymore! Weight is nice, balance is nice, doesn’t want to rip out of your hand when using.

Variety of features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 1/2 inch impact wrench is very nice. It has several great features. Primarily the various settings. You can switch between 3 speed settings as well as a precision wrench mode. These settings all feature a variable speed as well as difference in operation when driving fasteners in FWD vs removing them in REV. Speeds and torque are lowered in forward to prevent overtightening vs higher speeds and torques in REV to break bolts free. The precision wrench mode offers other features like pausing between impacts to better prevent overtightening in FWD and lowers speed in reverse when the fastener is loose to prevent it from flying off when it comes free. On top of all that, it has the standard LED light on the front with variable intensity settings to illuminate the work area and can be ran on either the standard 20V battery or the flex volt battery. I've already had people trying to purchase it from me and I've had to turn them down several times now.
So far I've used it for maintenance on my lawn mower, removing and replacing wheels and well as pulling of blades for resharpening and re-installing. The precision tightening mode was nice for reinstallation to avoid over tightening and snapping bolts. The LED light also helped when reinstalling the blades and illuminated the underneath of the mower very well. Only issue so far is just usage in l really confined areas but that appears to be standard across the board so not a deal breaker by any means.

Love this impact wrench

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this impact wrench. I had to replace the mower blades on my ride on and they were frozen. This tool handled the bolts with ease, no stripping. One of my other projects is an old Craftsman table saw that I inherited. The impact wrench worked flawlessly to remove the bolts. I enjoyed the 3 speeds as well. It allowed for better control when tightening bolts. The impact wrench felt very comfortable and well balanced when using it.

Great power for the size and weight

Beast. Bought it because I got tired of using the DCF961 all day. With this as my primary impact, I only have to bring out the big gun a few times a week.
