DCL040 20V worklight begins flashing, worthless

As others have reported, my DCL040 20V max work light begins to flash after about 3 minutes of use. This makes it nearly worthless for most jobs. It worked fine for a few years, but then the flashing problem began. This service life is inadequate for a Dewalt product. A cheap flashlight would last longer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great light, long runtime, always clicks on. Never had an issue with this light.

My brother gave me 1 of these & I love it! Battery lasts forever, head tilts in various directions, I use it all the time around the house, basement, outside.
