Same problem

I love the vacuum and how well it functions and the features. I bought my first Shark Vacuum and was pleased while under warranty they replaced the hose two times, and the lift off canister for me because the wand housing area gave way and would no long hold the wand in place for floor vacuuming. Shark did eventually replace the whole vacuum for me again when the wand housing gave way because the part was no longer available. This is the unit I have now and once again the wand housing has given way again and I see that part is no longer available. Because I like the way the vacuum operates and because of their warranty, I will probably buy another Shark Vacuum. However, I do hope they have improved the durability of the wand housing area.

Loved this but motor gave out

I loved this vacuum but motor just gave out all of a sudden. I kept all filters and hoses clean! Was very surprised giving the cost!

Does a great job until the brush motor stops worki

I have had three Shark vacuums over the past 12 years. The same thing happened to all three, the sweeper motor stops working. Believe it is a problem with the electrical connection because it works on and off until it finally just dies. Can’t find anyone to repair. This has happened two several friends. I don’t think I’ll purchase any more Sharks because I believe they have a real issue with the sweeper motor connection. I was a Electrical Engineer and have tried fixing the three I purchased plus friends units. Very hard to diagnose.

This vacuum is a real performer! We vacuumed our carpet with our old machine and then went over it again with the Rotator. It almost made me ill seeing what our old machine was leaving behind.

I bought this vacuum about three to four months ago and it's the best vacuum I've ever had. I like the way the canister just lifts off for easy cleaning.it has headlights on the front so you can see where your cleaning and it's just perfect.

As a mom of 5 that has a household of 9 and pet owner, I must say this was my favorite vacuum I had. I also owned a shark rocket and a full size Dyson. Nothing compared to this. I used it everyday at least 3 times. It was easy to move and lightweight when I carried, it would pickup everything in the path and when I clogged it, very simple to fix .. I couldn't have been more happy/ impressed with the shark rotator. Sadly I lost all 3 of my vacuum's the day before Thanksgiving in a tragic home fire. I will miss this vacuum most and when/if I'm able to get a new one I will definitely be getting another shark!

Just purchased a second

we have always had 2 vacuums in our house. 1 upstairs because of the dogs constant shedding that gets used daily and 1 downstairs that gets all the cat litter from the carpet. We bought the 1st one over 5 years ago and its still going strong it got demoted to the basement when our old vacuum broke. I got the new one upstairs just yesterday. Its built slightly different than the older one. Id say its slightly lighter and seems like its cheaper made but so far it works amazing and id buy it again. When we bought the original one it had all of the accessories that they now sell separate in the box. However I remember it being a more expensive initial purchase.

DON'T BUY THIS VACUUM !

I bought this vacuum nine months ago. From the very beginning, the vacuum made an asthmatic wheezing sound when you tried to vacuum with it. Over time, the sound and the sucking power went from asthmatic wheezing to bronchitis to emphysema gasps. At the end, it did not suck up any dirt at all. Additionally, the vacuum was very heavy compared to other vacuums I have had, and it was very difficult to maneuver.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
