I bought a Shark 500 in 2012 and loved it-- I even talked my neighbor into buying one. After 8 years, my hose was broken in several places, since the hose assembly was out-of.-stock, I decided to buy a new one with a new five-year warranty.

Love this vacuum

I have had this model for several years. The first one I bought had a problem with the motor and Shark replaced it immediately. Since then no real problems. Works great. Easy to use. I love the buttons that allow me to change from floor to carpet with ease or use the wand. If I had any criticism at all it would be that the flexible hose is to stiff and hard to stretch and sometimes when I'm using the wand it pulls the vacuum over. The hose has now torn and I've ordered a new one. Other than that it's great. Still has powerful suction. I have pets and it is great for picking up cat hair and bits of litter the cats track.

I bought this vacuum about 3 years ago, I keep it in our camper and it works great!!!
I clean the canister and everything about once or twice a month to keep it like new...
I have a shark NV750 for my home and by far that one is my favorite one, after 6 years it still works like new. Every time I use it, I am amazed how much dirt and dander it gets out of my carpets, I have one little dog, he is not a shedding type of fur.

I bought this vacuum about 3 years ago. I absolutely love it. It has the best suction I have ever seen. It has now started squealing VERY loudly. It starts off normal then the noise starts building until it sounds like a jet engine. It still cleans just like always but it is barely tolerable. We have searched the Internet looking for a way to maybe oil the motor or anything else we can to stop the noise without any luck. Now I don't know if I would recommend it or not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been buying Shark vacuums for years, I currently own 2, this one and a cordless stick vacuum. This one is the family vacuum, I call it that because if you have kids and pets you have some big messes to clean up. The Shark Rotator professional takes care of all of the mess with minimal effort. I did not think I needed a vacuum with a rotating head until I owned one, using a regular vacuum that does not swivel just gives you added work. The rotating head saves me time and hassle. The suction is superior compared to other vacuums, it picks up goldfish and popcorn like a pro. The lift-away portion is a nice added feature, rather than pulling the entire vacuum around you can just lift the smaller and lighter portion. The vacuum is easy to clean, the filters are easy to come by and replace.
I would recommend this to a friend!
