JUNK

I have a Rotator model that is the worst piece of junk I have ever had. It clogs up every time i use it. quits running the brush roll, and is completly unreliable I.spend more time getting it to work than I ever have with my 15 year old Kirby. I bought the Shark to replace my Kirby only because the Kirby is heavy. I will cary the Shark to the garbage can and be happy I have the Kirby and the Shark is gone. Don't waste your money on this piece of JUNK!

Thee best Shark model by far!

I’ve had this model for about 5 years and yes occasionally you’ll have to cut some hair off the powdered brush if you have long hair or girls around or just heavy traffic I guess but that takes literally 20 seconds. Grab a pair of scissors, cut the hair and pull it out. Any vacuum with a brush is going to eventually wrap up hair! The vacuum has one killer motor, it cleans like nothing I’ve ever seen. I’m continuously impressed by the vast amount of dander, dust, and allergens it grabs every single time! I love how the handle comes off to clean small areas such as my couch cushions, behind furniture, etc. (I have this model which cane with ALL the attachments so I may have paid a bit more but it was definitely worth it) the only other difference is the colors. Mine has dark blue where the red is shown. I absolutely love how I can detach the base when going up stairs as shown in the photo. I don’t use the tiny “car part cleaners” which also came with the bulk of attachments but I guess it’s there if I were to ever need it. My fav attachment is the smaller roller brush that literally eats every cat hair off my dining room chairs and wherever else I need it. Anyway I suppose I could go on but you get my drift. By the way of course after awhile the vacuum will accumulate dust around the base and hose (I’ve seen someone post photos here of their dirty vacuum lol) but it’s a vacuum! It’s going to get dirty! My last thought pertains to the newest model I believe, the NV1000 with the “self cleaning brush” or double brush very bulky looking one. Although I haven’t used it, I personally don’t think it is going to sell much in the end. I say that with regards to the current reviews and complaints along with the marketing aspect in mind. What I conclude is just logical: once again as long as there is a revolving brush or in this case 2 rolling brushes, in time there WILL BE a hair issue as long as there are women, girls, and pets around. Stick to this model.

3years in now, needs a new hose. Not terribly moved by that. It's a bit clunky to use and it's not as powerful as a canister vac but . . it does the job. Brush roll could be more aggressive as it take 3 or 4 passes to get cat litter off the carpet. Flat gobbles up pet hair. Could use an extension wand. I'm happy with it overall.

My daughter purchased this Shark Professional for Christmas two years ago. I vacuum about once every two weeks. It was doing a great job. Then I noticed it was spitting tiny pieces back out on the carpet. I checked it out. Filter and cannister always cleaned and emptied. Then the motor stopped and only the brushes go. Not the motor. I sam very disappointed since she paid so much for it.

Have owned this for several years and now the ELBOW RELEASE LATCH, that holds the hose, broke, Am I able to get this part, did not see it in your parts replacement, or do I just have to use tape until I buy a new vacuum

I bought it a year ago & stopped sucking, so angry because I have 3 shark vacuums and they don’t last. I have had many other top of the line vacuums. Wonder if you can be of any help for my situation? I clean the filters. Looking forward to you reply.
