love it and hate it

After two years of owning this I've had to fix the hose and on the 3rd year I'm faced with having to replace the brush motor or circut board. No replacement parts that are brand new only used ones so faced with lossing money if the parts dont work. I love that this vaccum does what I need it to do but hate when it breaks and cannot fix it. Im not sure I would like to spend more money on fixing it or buying a brad new one. Oh please be careful when you lift the canister, if you don't hold it while sucking up what you need too the canister will sling back to you and hit you. So where can I buy a vac that will last longer than the warranty

It's a No for Me

Do not waste your time, energy, or money buying this vacuum. You will feel very cheated and furious when you think of the empty promises in the incessant infommercials. I purchased the Rotator Professional with the hardwood floor attachment for my 700 square feet apartment a little over a year ago. When I first purchased it, it was mediocre compared to other vacuums that I have owned in the past which managed to have for 18 years! The rotator was the replacement vacuum. Upon first impression, I was irritated that it did not work well from floor to carpet so I purchased the attachment. The dissatisfaction continues a year later when the SUCTION DOES NOT WORK and simply pushes dust around. I barely used this relatively new equipment. This is the biggest buyer beware gimmick. Do not spend one coin on this loud piece of junk and all of its junk attachments.

I have 2!

I have bought 2 of these vaca over the last 8 years and am considering another of the same make & model. I work using mine 4x a week, as I am a house cleaner. It is fairly light, very easy to use and I love the power for carpets and power/suction when switching to the bare floor attachment. I also have a more expensive shark vac with more attachments that I would trade for another one of this model in a minute! When I registered my first shark vac and had a problem, customer service was awsome, and fixed/replaced the vac! The only problem I would note is the hose towards the handle tends to split and you have to order a new one, and the hose size could not be found locally so we could not replace ourselves.

I brought my 5 years ago, and I still live it. The bad Bart about it is the hoses brake after awhile. I have to get two new handles because they don’t sell just the hoses, now I have to but the motorized floor hose.

It's a decent vacuum

I like the vacuum, however it cannot handle our use with all the animals. It clogs on a regular basis and I am finding myself running a drain snake through the hose. I also notice that the under roller with the bristles gets jammed by animal hair a lot and I'm finding myself sitting there with an exacto knife cutting the hair off. The pet tool doesn't have enough suction power to be used on the couch. As I am using it, it bogs down and I am finding myself just using the regular brush head on the couch because I'm going over it several times before it cleans up the air.

Great Suction - But with major design flaw

I bought the Shark Rotator Pro after installing brand new higher end carpet with a luxury medium pile. Had I know that the brushes were not adjustable (I have never owned a vacuum that wasn't and didn't check), I would not have purchased. I only use the suction mode as the brushes would turn my carpet into felted fuzz with the brushes engaged over a short time. The canister filled with carpet fibers - enough to knit. I then searched for specific reviews to this issue and found many. I store it in the shed and use it outside on my indoor-outdoor carpeted deck and carport (mobile home living), more than in the house, but that is not what I bought it for. Luckily I kept my Hoover which I use in the house. Due to a family emergency, I did not return it, but should follow-up on their rules.

I've had my shark for 2 years and spent alot of money to purchase it. I didn't think I would have a problem turning it on. There is something in the switch. I'm not going to ever buy a shark again.

Almost the Vacuum You Want It To Be

The suction on this is amazing, it rolls and swivels so smoothly and it seems like the best vacuum ever until you get it onto carpet and then the rollers stop spinning. The only carpet it works on is my little hallway rug where we take our shoes off. Anything thicker than a doormat and the brushes stop spinning and I mean....isn't that the reason I need a vacuum is because I have carpet? I could broom the floors if I wanted bare floors. So I guess this is a great vacuum for tile, wood or commercial carpets. For the price I would expect a better product
