Great upgrade for my W530

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great computer! I have seen many people complain about the weight, but compared to my W530 this computer is light as a feather. this computer is lighting fast compared to my W530 also. I wasn't looking to upgrade but because of Microsoft stopping support for windows 10 I had to, but now I am glad I did.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good but few issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product works fine for the most part, however it heats up quite a bit even when just doing simple tasks like playing a video. It also does this weird glitch where it keeps turning on and off again. It is quite annoying when I’m trying to get work done.

Hello Juan, Thank you for sharing your feedback on the ThinkPad P1 Gen 6. We're glad to hear that the device works well overall but we're sorry to hear about the heating issues. Excessive heat during light tasks could be a thermal management issue, and the glitch where the system turns on and off repeatedly sounds like it could be related to firmware or BIOS settings. We recommend following these troubleshooting steps: 1. Update BIOS, Drivers & Firmware
Use Lenovo Vantage or visit the Lenovo Support Site to: Update BIOS
Update graphics drivers (especially NVIDIA/Intel)
Update chipset and thermal management drivers
Update power management firmware

2. Check Thermal Settings
Open Lenovo Vantage → Device → Power → Thermal Mode
Try switching to Balanced or Cool & Quiet mode. Ensure vents are not blocked and the laptop is on a hard, flat surface. 3. 3. Power Cycling / Glitch Fixes
Disable Fast Startup: Go to Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what the power buttons do → Change settings that are currently unavailable → Uncheck Turn on fast startup. 4. Run Diagnostics
Use Lenovo Diagnostics Tool: Lenovo Diagnostics
Run full system and thermal tests to check for hardware faults. If the issue persists after following these steps, we recommend reaching out to our tech support team at 1-855-253-6686. We're committed to ensuring your satisfaction and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this matter. Regards, Thomas, Lenovo

The facial recognition is annoying sometimes and glitches my whole screen out. It makes it unable to get in sometimes. Also heats up very quickly. But other than that it gets the job done.

Good, has a few tiny flaws though

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is all I expected. The only flaws were a glitch on startup which was fixed with a bios update. Also the power button does stick a bit, but it quickly gets unstuck and doesn’t cause any problems for now. Additionally, it makes a slightly annoying high pitched sound, but I think this is only a problem if you have supersonic hearing like I do. Plus I believe this is a problem on all laptops with a GPU. The battery life works for me and could probably last anywhere from 3-9 (3 if you were gaming, rendering, or doing heavy tasks, and 9 if you were just browsing the internet or doing everyday tasks). The laptop works great for gaming and has the same capability (if not better) of my HP Pavilion gaming desktop, the only problem is the heat it produces which is pretty normal for gaming laptops. I really enjoy the backlights on the keyboard and the quality of the sound. I’d say this is a great laptop if you’re looking for something for class/work and gaming. Also the laptop is essentially silent when doing light tasks.

Battery or Screen issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was working fantastic for the first 3 days. Then out of no where the screen started to act funny. It would black out sporadically while in use and would sometimes not turn back out without restarting. I am currently attempting to get it fixed.
