[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ThinkPad P16 Gen 2 Intel (16″) Mobile Workstation is an absolute beast for professionals who require uncompromising performance, a brilliant display, and exceptional build quality. It effortlessly handles the most demanding tasks, making it an ideal choice for engineers, designers, data scientists, and anyone who needs a truly powerful mobile computing solution. While its weight and fan noise under load are minor considerations, they are easily overshadowed by its immense capabilities. If you're in the market for a top-tier mobile workstation that can genuinely replace a desktop, the ThinkPad P16 Gen 2 is an outstanding contender.

Lack of 17-Inch Option Is a Major Oversight
It’s disappointing—and frankly unacceptable—that Lenovo has completely abandoned the 17-inch form factor in the ThinkPad lineup. For professionals who rely on a large screen for CAD, design, engineering, or multitasking, downsizing to 16" is not a suitable replacement. The discontinuation of models like the ThinkPad P17 removes a key option for users who need serious performance and ample display space without compromising on the hallmark ThinkPad build quality and keyboard. Lenovo should reconsider this decision and bring back a true 17" workstation.
