[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a powerful work laptop. It has an easily accessible panel on the bottom for installing another SDD and two additional memory cards. The only drawbacks are that is heavy and thicker than other models, like the P1 series, so mobility is not as ideal. That should not deter from buying this laptop. It easily replaces a desktop as far as power and functionality go. It is a workhorse for business/office use. I use it mainly with AutoCAD and it runs the latest software with ease. Although it's not a gaming laptop, it can still run games well with little to no lag on many of the latest releases. The fans will run higher, with graphics-hungry games or software, but that doesn't affect the performance.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Relatively fast, somewhat heavy, looks great. I use it for gaming, mostly. Processing speed is good, graphics are great, could do without the touchscreen. This is probably my fifteenth ThinkPad. Love the track point -- no need to carry a mouse. Keyboard is superb, as usual. I like having the number pad, didn't have it on my previous ThinkPad.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the top of the line and it works as expected. No lag and the display is great. I get the fan runs sometimes faster than it required even though there is no workload but its only when its plugged in.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed an upgrade from a Lenovo Thinkpad P52 after my 3D modeling work grew in complexity. Now this laptop is slightly heavier and thicker, but that is worthwhile sacrifice for much the faster processor. The frame rate also improved when displaying lots of graphics at once. And it is still just as portable in the same laptop case I already owned.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This computer was purchased as an upgrade from a Lenovo Yoga (running an Evo processor) in order to better handle large data projects/queries, primarily using Excel macros and Power Query. With the extra RAM and upgraded processor, the Thinkpad completes macro runs in almost exactly half the time!
Obviously, this computer NOT a lightweight computer, which is very apparent when moving from the office to working from home. Also, not surprisingly, the high power needs result in a short battery life (usually only a couple of hours when running multiple programs) and the heavy-duty 230-watt charger can be a hassle to travel with as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] it was a great computer, only downfall it came with windows 11. i would recommend going back to windows 10 because of program compatibility and later on upgrading to windows 11.
