Powerful and portable development workstation

We had lost our home to fire but I was traveling with my 5 year old X1 Extreme - but recently managed to spill coffee on it. I plan to consult in retirement and needed a single system powerful enough for medical device software development which I could bring to clients when needed. I have been a ThinkPad user for decades and the P16 looked to fit the bill. As expected I am very happy with the keyboard, screen, graphics, GPU and compute performance and build quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing video & Office 365 Biz integration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Returned. Video was "stuttering" when first received. Within one week one monitor would not operate in extended mode, only duplicate. Also had issues that took a lot of time to research to eventually install Microsoft 365 for business. Of course the time was wasted because I returned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The build quality was good but the 4K OLED display was terrible. The resolution was good but there was a diamond pattern that overlayed the display and made things look fuzzy. It was particularly bad in white and lighter color solid block areas. Would not recommend using for visual media development or viewing. Initially I thought it was a defect in the display so had a replacement sent but the replacement had the same problem. So ended up returning the computer and purchased another laptop with 4k display from different company that did not have the diamond pattern overlay on the screen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a small business owner and tend to go through laptop computers about every 15 to 18 months. It’s used daily 8-12 hours normally. Mostly Dell laptops, a few HP. This time I compared the cost/quality of parts/specs with Dell and HP mobile work stations. First gold star for this machine Lenovo slayed the competition on. Lenovo was almost & $3,000.00 less than Dell, and $2,000.00 less than HP, SCORE.
Machine arrived two weeks earlier than expected, score again. Small business rep that helped me with the purchase did a great job with the sale. I emailed a follow up question after the arrival of the computer ten days ago and haven’t heard back.
The machine is heavy, it’s rugged and very well built with actual metal and not cheap plastic. If you are looking for lightweight and thin this is not. I’ve noticed several reviews siting heat and noise issues. My machine is very quiet and has zero heat issues and I run highly taxing video programs, it takes a huge load to bring the internal fans up to full speed. The keyboard is very well laid out with a numeric keyboard which I love. Lenovo did a nice job not loading it up with with junk software. I love that the power is in the back of the machine which is helpful when working from the recliner and when docking it.
The rewards are beyond generous, after my purchase I had enough rewards to purchase a second power adapter.
In conclusion I cannot be happier, this machine is in an elite status, I highly recommend Lenovo, I’ll be buying a tower workstation from them very soon. Thank you, Lenovo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I've not been impressed. It's not any faster than my 4 year old P15 and in some cases slower. I've had multiple program crashes and some programs run very slow or get locked up for a period. Would not recommend.
