Love my mr. coffee grinder

This was a gift to me about 2 months ago for Christmas. I've been wanting one for the longest time. This a great gift. I love to hear the coffee beans being grinded. The coffee smells so great! The coffee tastes great also.

Wrong instructions, cracks easily

I did not risk a lot of money by purchasing this Mr. Coffee grinder (IDS57-RB), but still I was disappointed to see how quickly it broke. OK, I admit, I broke it, but it shouldn’t be so easy to break it.
While reading the user manual for this appliance (you may think that I weird to read a coffee grinder manual, but I was just curious), I learned that it should be possible to adjust the length of the power cord by fitting excess cord into the base of the device. Unfortunately, when I picked up the grinder and flipped it upside down to see where the cord fits, the clear plastic cover immediately flew off, fell on the floor and cracked—even before I got to use the thing! How annoying! What’s worse, the instructions are misleading because there is no place to fit excess cord in the base of the device; those instructions might apply to other models, but the booklet doesn’t say so.
In addition, the user manual does not contain any guidance for gridding coffee beans for a French press. Instructions for other types of coffee grounds are given, but not for a French press set, which is very popular recently.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The best grinder I ever owned!

I have 3 of these grinders after trying way to many others and wasting so much $. Mine are used as : one for coffee, one for savory spices, the last used for cinn sticks and other herbs/leaves for tea. I have told all my friends to buy this one. It works fast, does the job right, and is so durable, even after dropping it. The BEST ever.

Poor quality

We are now into our 2nd grinder after just 2 years of discovering it via a gift. Although we LOVE our fresh ground coffee experience we wish this grinder would not keep breaking down.

made a mess!

I did not like this as much as the one where the whole grinding parts come out for emptying and cleaning... I got coffee grounds everywhere when I followed instructions and turned it upside down to empty, because so many grounds were still stuck in the basket, even after I "tapped" it. I love the other one with the chamber maid cleaning system, although the cleaning blades wear down after a while... but I love it so much I just bought two more.

Good looking and only worked for 3 month

This junk worked for 3 month and quit working. The motor got very warm after 2 loads of grinding. I would not recommend this junk for daily use!
