Have only owned this coffee maker for a couple of months that we bought for our condo. When wiping off the outside of the decanter with a towel the whole thing fell out of the band and handle and broke all over the floor. Thankfully it happened with me and not one of the guests who may have rented our condo. Very disappointed with this quality. Otherwise it worked great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great taste but very messy!

I wanted a simple coffee maker that I could depend on so I chose Mr Coffee because of the strong brand name. It makes a good cup of coffee, but this machine is designed poorly and it's messy. Condensation forms under the lid and drips all over the counter when opened. The lid on the carafe is permanent which makes it cumbersome to wash and the condensation in the carafe has a tendency to drip all over around the cup. Definitely expected Mr. Coffee to create a better design with out these kind of issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this about a month ago to replace my very worn out and gurgling old Mr. Coffee, one switch, unit. And, as someone else mentioned the price was right... But when I opened the box I knew it was cheaply made and I really would have been surprised if it made it about a year. To my surprise it barely made it a month! After washing it this morning, I picked it up to dry it and it exploded in my hand!!! The slightest bit of pressure broke the handle away from the glass edge and I had shards of glass all over my kitchen. Glad I had the day off and wasn't in a hurry to leave the house. Not impressed. A replacement carafe in white seems to be a difficult item to come by also. But I will not purchase this unit again.

Hazard!!!! worst coffeemaker ever

We bought this coffee maker 13 days ago. The first day we used it, the handle broke off and the glass broke.

I bought this coffee maker and not even two weeks in and the Pot is leaking. I can feel a bump/crack on the inside by the handle. Very disappointed and now without a coffee maker.

Horribly STRONG toxic plastic smell

When I opened the box, the toxic smell from the plastic it's made out of almost made me vomit. It really makes me wonder what type of plastic they're using, and just how toxic it is to humans. I question whether or not these chemicals are leaching into the coffee, poisoning the drinkers.
