Great chair for the price but watch the squeak

This was the best-reviewed chair in its price bracket out of many chairs I looked at. It was easy to assemble and the chair itself is pretty comfortable. I think that the cushion is a little thinner than expected and I might add a separate lumbar support. It is comfortable enough to get through working though and looks really nice. The padded armrests are nice and I very much appreciate that the back stays firmly in position and doesn't wobble like many other chairs I have used over the years. It is difficult for me to raise the chair without standing up first due to the positioning of the lever but it stays at the level I choose very well. I just cannot get this chair to stop squeaking unless I slowly sit down like I am working in slow-motion. If I sit down in this thing like a normal chair it makes a loud noise that sounds like a dog's squeaky toy. This doesn't bother me because I work from home but it might get a little ridiculous in an office or if I was doing frequent video conferencing. I thought the squeak might subside after a while but a week in the squeak is just as loud as it was the first day out of the box.

The seat is a bit hard so I use a cushion but other than that it's pretty good!
