I think this purchase was a decent deal. I must say however that the padding for the base of the chair leaves much to be desired. The one it replaced was almost and exact replica but the pad seemed to be thicker and much more comfortable. This one makes the back of your thighs uncomfortable even when sitting for even brief periods. If the padding on the bottom base of the chair was better I would rate it an excellent value. If you are on the large size say 200 plus and comfort is your key then you might want something else. I am keeping it because I don't want to hassle with the return.
Great chair...glad I purchased it. I had been looking around for a good but affordable computer chair..assembly was a piece of cake. I put it together with my eight year old and we didn't need my husbands help at all.
It would roll smoother if it was on a hard floor and not carpet. I'm looking forward to getting a good deal on a chair mat next.Love the deal I got on this chair!
Unfortunately the model was not available in the store at the time of my purchase but delivery was promised at no extra charge likely next day. Then a message saying it would not be delivered until three days later. So I was surprised to find the package on my doorstep only two days later. Surprising that the very computerized system didn't know accurately in the end. The sales assistant was very helpful sympathizing with the breakdown of the chair I had purchased 17 years ago.
I bought this on a sale and I am very pleased with it. This is the first object that I have purchased from Staples that I have had to assemble. I was pleasantly surprised at the way the parts were packaged so that each part was separated by the step it was needed in. This is something that other manufacturers should do. Much less confusing then matching a part up to a drawing on a piece of paper to try to identify it!
This chair lacks the sturdiness and the advanced features of expensive ergonomic chairs but that might be a good thing! My office recently purchased 20 VERY expensive ergonomic chairs -- within a week 3 of them were broken (all due to a flimsy adjustable back tilt function). Sometimes simpler is better.
