I purchased this chair to replace a lower draftsman chair I had for several years. This Turcotte chair is very well made for the price & easy to assemble. Directions clear; not a lot of parts. Have had for 2 months now use daily for office/ computer use. Comfortable esp with the high back feature.
Bought this chair as it was attractively priced but as you know you get what you pay for. We bought two chairs some time ago from Staples and the price this time was the same as last time. We did not count on quality going down for the same price. Our big problem is comfort.
The padding on the seat is adequate for the price but the arm padding failed quickly. So much so that the bolts screws whatever underneath poked holes and cracked the arm covering. The side arm and back pieces are plastic. The screw hole broke through after about a year. I almost went down. And I'm not an over weight person stressing the chair. This is an OK chair if you want a 1 year chair.
Excellent chair just make sure when you put it together you read the addendum AFTER the directions. In order to raise & lower the chair you need to pull out the lever! I almost brought the chair back until I re-read the directions & kept going after the final step.
