Timer mechanism

Great oven, but the timer mechanism is tight and difficult to move, the knob broke and is not strong enough.
It is even difficult to move with a pair of pliers.

Loved it, but…

This fit my criteria: mechanical, stainless, simple. What could go wrong? The lower heating element ignited yesterday; it looked like a welding job going on. So, a whole new oven every year and three months (better than the digital one at 12 months). I really dislike that the repair cost makes a new onea better deal, but I really dislike not being able to get this part.

Plastic Knob Breaks off Rendering the Item Useless

I purchased the GE Mechanical Air Fry in August 2024, but did not use it until recently - maybe 10-12 times. I was just getting the hang of learning how to use it, when the timer knob broke off rendering the product useless. The knobs are plastic; however, the prong that attaches to the back of the knob is metal, thus melting the knob right off. I had the same problem as the other reviewers. In hindsight, I should have read the reviews prior to purchasing the item.

plastic parts

Very disappointed with product have had a little over a year and plastic knob cracked. Tried to get part and Bodewell rep said can't get part for it. Not pleased at all with this product and the availability of parts

Just perfect for me!

I love this machine! This little oven does everything my big oven does — plus it air fries — without heating up the kitchen. I can preheat this oven, cook dinner, and clean the oven in the time it would take me to preheat the big oven. Temperature and timer are both accurate. The stainless steel body and full-coverage crumb/drip tray make it very easy to clean. The capacity is perfect for one or two people. It's getting difficult to find any kind of appliance with mechanical controls these days, so I was very happy to find all manual controls from a company I had actually heard of (my GE laundry appliances have them, too). Mindful of the problems that some people have reported with the timer knob, I'm careful never to turn the knob backwards. If my food is cooked and the timer is still running, I simply turn the TEMP control to OFF. Cooking stops and the timer continues to run until it's finished. I have had no problems with any of the controls, all of which are clearly marked and easy to understand. I've been debating the purchase of a toaster oven for several years and I am very happy with my choice. This is a great kitchen appliance.

Fast and Easy Meals

Cooks much faster than conventional oven. Great for meat and veggies. Like much better than other toaster ovens I have owned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My toaster Oven was old, and my air fryer recently died. Getting a beast of an appliance that could do both, and then some was ideal for me. This is a little bigger, but still takes up way less space than multiple appliances would. Setup was easy, instructions are easier, and it does exactly what it's supposed to! There is ample room inside for my needs and it works better than my previous iterations. It looks great too, as opposed to a cheap eyesore sitting on my counter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used it for many types of cooking and have been impressed with how the food comes out. My favorite thus far has been with using the air fryer feature. It literally gives a nice crispy finish to anything I cook, especially fresh potatoes for french fries.
