Perfect coffee machine for a perfect espresso

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful looking coffee machine. Stainless steel looks elegant with front black display. Built in 8.8 Oz beans carrying grinder is very compact along with the tamper on the side makes the process easy. All feature ergonomically located at perfect locations to make process simple.
This machine is for espresso lover who wants to get it to perfection, it is an all in one machine. We can easily adjust the coarseness/ fineness of the grind and the amount of coffee ground/ dispensed as well as the amount of water and temperature. A chart is provided with suggestions based on the roast. Pressure is appropriate to extract best taste
out of the coffee.
This machine not only brews the espresso but you can make cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites and all. Making it effortless. I would highly recommend the coffee machine who wants to be part of making perfect espresso.

Upgrade that is worth it

We have had our other DeLonghi for 10 years. It’s still working but the wanted to upgrade and got another DeLonghi for support for the last great machine. Very happy with the quality add the coffee!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The La Specialista Prestigio Espresso Machine is an absolutely amazing machine! We now make better lattes at home than we can buy at a coffee shop! It took a bit of setup and learning, but from there it became very easy to operate. I love that you have options on the grinder and coarseness of beans. I love that the frother is part of the machine - works wonderfully! And, I love that you can make an espresso, americano, or latte at the turn of the knob. It is also absolutely gorgeous on our countertop! Such a high-quality product. Though it is pricey, it is well worth it to have great coffee at home anytime. This actually might be my most favorite thing I own! I would HIGHLY recommend this to all my coffee lovers!!

While the brewing temperature is impressive, there are other aspects that make other machines potentially more worthwhile: 1) The only way to see how much water is in the reservoir is viewing from the top, or back, so you may want to have a kitchen island for this model; 2) There is no storage for the cleaning brush nor wand needle; 3) It is supposed to take 45 minutes to "demineralize" the machine...Even though we used reverse osmosis water, the machine indicated a need to do this after only 2 weeks...If you do not completely fill the tank before doing this, you will need to add water numerous time, taking well over an hour for cleaning indicator light to go off...then you will need to buy demineralizer more often than should be necessary; 4) It took two determined PhDs two weeks to modify the possible variables to achieve an acceptable outcome.
Full disclosure: We have used a Breville for twenty years, having to buy a replacement ~every four years and thought the De'Longhi might last longer and perform better in some way. But the (Breville) froths the milk, where the De'Longhi only steams the milk, so it is difficult losing the texture of a frother. Be sure it is a steamer you want. While the quality of the De'Longhi brew (minus the steaming) is appreciated, the downsides will result in donating the De'Longhi somewhere because we do not want to use up more counter space on a separate frother. The Breville has storage space for cleaning tools, costs half as much, and lasts longer than this De'Longhi model's warranty indicates.

The smart tamping lever ensures each coffee puck is the same consistency AND never left a mess of coffee grains. The espresso pulls were consistent and I was able to hit the optimal range each time leading to the same tasting espresso each time.
The hopper was also large (less refilling beans) and had a good size water tank.
The design looks great and I have displayed this on my wetbar for all to see. With the way it is set up it really doesn't make a mess so keeping the espresso machine and the surrounding area clean was easy to do.
The steam wand I would rate as average. It did an ok job with steaming the milk and took me a couple tries to get it right. Everything else with the machine was easy to use the first time
