Amazing Espresso Machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a very rural area with no coffee shops near and my husband and I are coffee snobs after city living and needed an espresso machine. The La Specialista Prestigio Espresso Machine is heaven sent! The setup was surprisingly simple. Between us both my husband watching the videos from DeLonghi and me reading the instructions our first espresso was made in no time. The taste and smoothness was chef’s kiss wonderful. The cleanup was just as easy and took no more than five minutes. With this being our first espresso machine we couldn’t be happier with how easy it was for us first time users. We are now our own coffee shop and no longer miss the coffee shop coffee. This is ten times better! I cannot recommend it enough and have already shared our new machine with our small town friends who are looking into one as well!

Verified Purchase:Yes
This is an expensive purchase and would have thought the machine would work as expected. The pressure gauge has never worked and now the machine needs to be returned for repair. Internet research has revealed this is a common problem. Is there any reason why this same problem continues to occur. I am torn between not returning it, but with the cost, I feel it needs to be corrected. With returning it, I am now without my product for an undetermined amount of time. There needs to be some compensation here.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was Scared, but it was so easy to use!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me tell you, this La Specialista Prestigio Espresso Machine is great. It came packaged very well, ensuring no damages during shipping. Unpacking was a bit challenging due to the weight of this espresso maker. For it to be fairly compact in size, it’s quite heavy, which to me, is another sign of well made, with top of the line materials. It’s not flimsy in any way, seems to be very well made, top-notch. The instructions were very easy to read, and there was actually very little to do, in order to have it up and running. I was elated to have it set up quickly. So we could start experimenting with it!! We have never owned an espresso machine before. We have had several different types of coffee makers and such, but for all our specialty coffee drinks such as espressos, Frappuccino, cappuccinos and such, we usually hit up our local coffee shop, and treated
ourselves, but if you tend to do this several
times a week, you end up spending A LOT of money.
This machine does everything! It will grind your coffee beans, it will froth your milk, it will brew your espresso, and so forth. We have used it to grind the coffee beans, it has several different settings where you can grind them to your liking. I can’t wait to start looking for new recipes and such to try out, with this machine. Now we can relax at home, enjoy a nice coffee, Frappuccino etc, anytime we want without leaving the house

Good coffee takes time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box this machine is sleek and looks very high end. It’s not too big, but definitely a commitment to counter space. I was really excited to try it and become my own personal barista, but I have to admit it’s just a little too intimidating and time intensive for my every day use. However, my husband and I have enjoyed experimenting with the various bean grinds and settings on the weekends and when friends come to visit. The novelty of it is great, but I don’t think I’m getting anything out of it that I couldn’t just get from a local coffee shop where they know what they’re doing. This machine seems like a step up from “beginner” and there’s a definitely learning curve. I wish I had the time to commit to perfecting my milk froth art but the reality is I’m a busy working mom of 2 and I just need a simple, large cup of coffee most days.

Gourmet coffee made easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used a standard, no-nonsense coffee pot for nearly my entire life, preferring ease and efficiency over any fancy brews, so I was hesitant about upgrading to the De'Longhi. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised at how straightforward the machine is to use. The quality of the coffee is unmatched, with many of the drinks tasting on par with or better than a coffee shop. My favorite drink to make is an oat milk latte (it can easily be made iced by pouring it over ice cubes or storing in the fridge). It definitely requires a solid understanding of the instructions, but the manual is very user-friendly, so after investing 10-15 minutes in understanding the machine you're pretty much good to go. Highly recommend!

Wanna be baristas unite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To the person who loves espresso drinks, but is intimidated at the thought of making them yourself: buy this machine. Seriously. The drinks it creates are delicious and SO much easier than I ever thought they’d be thanks to the helpful guide and simple design. My favorite feature is the auto-grinder and built in tamper. It’s also beautiful so it dresses up our kitchen counter and makes us look like the fancy people we want to look like, but not act like. We love this espresso machine and know that you will too.

Amazing Taste

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never been a barista, but know good coffee when I have it. This machine makes the best coffee I have ever made. Setup was incredibly easy and it comes with directions on what the differences are between light, medium and dark roast (and the settings you need to achieve them). The grinding of coffee beans is not loud at all (much different than my normal coffee maker).
One issue I thought I might have was being burdened by a one-cup machine instead of several cups at my disposal like my previous machine produces. But I LOVE IT!! It is WAY less cleanup and WAY less waste.
One other thing to clarify- I don’t really need my coffee to be fancy, I have made an espresso, coffee and americano on this machine and LOVE all of them- they are absolutely fantastic. I will soon venture into trying other types, but I am very content with how great the simple coffee, americano and espressos are.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Spend 3 plus hours every time it needs descaling

EVERY time I run the descaler on my unit it stays in cleaning mode for hours, requiring adding more and more water until, usually, it eventually cycles through the rinse mode. I have wasted bottles of descaler trying to get it clean. I have seen others on the delonghi users facebook page with the same issue. Good luck getting a workable solution either. I have had several espresso machines over the past 30 years and have never been this frustrated by any of them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
