Difficult to use because of the manual processes

5 years and still makes perfect espresso

5 years and still works perfectly. It took a few try’s to dial it in but once you become familiar with how to do that, you get a perfect cup every time. Excellent crema, perfect foamed milk. It is very sturdy and quality is perfect for an at home machine. Only complaint is that the bean hopper makes the machine tall. It may not fit under your kitchen cabinet. My suggestion to DeLonghi is to make the hopper shorter or figure out how to put it on its side. A side water tank would be nice too. The tank in the back can be a hassle to refill when you have to pull the whole machine out away from the wall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great machine. A tad smaller footprint than I expected, but solid and well made. Stainless exterior. Relatively easy to use (my first foray into this type of machine). A lot of online videos really simplifies the learning. Saw videos comparing this to the "B" brand. I would still buy this. For me, there are enough settings on here to really personalize the drinking experience, yet enough built-in/automatic settings so one does not need to became an expert barista.

Poor quality grinder

If you’re thinking of buying this machine, think again and spare yourself the headache. The grinder will break within 2 years and their customer service won’t even offer to fix it for free. All they give you is a 20% off coupon to buy a new machine, what a joke. Save the money and buy a more reliable espresso machine.
