Best espresso machine Ive ever had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This espresso machine is by far the nicest thing in our kitchen. I am very impressed with the machine overall. You can tell that De'Longhi truly put a lot of thought into the features and design down to the smallest details. I also really appreciated the numerous stickers and booklets which gave pointers as to when/what to do during the brewing process, again showing how much they care about the customer experience. I also learned a lot from these tips, like the different temperatures to use for different roasts, level of caffeine in dark vs light roasts, etc.
The espressos were definitely the best I've had and even better than what you'd get from a coffee shop. Most of the process is automatic once you configure your preferences, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience that I look forward to each morning.
The setup was also very easy because of the detailed instructions and guidance. It took me about 20 minutes to clean and assemble everything.
My favorite part about this is that it also replaced our coffee machine - using the "2x Americano" setting, this provides a great cup of coffee. You can configure the settings to increase or decrease the water level for each preset to ensure you're getting the strength you want.
I HIGHLY recommend purchasing this machine!

Wanted to love it...

Received the La Specialista Prestigio as a present in July of 2022. It was working great and my drinks were delicious. But, I've sent the machine 3 times for service already and it hasn't even been a year yet. The first time I sent it back was because the descaling process wouldn't finish, it kept getting stuck on the "rinsing" step (as I've read in other reviews, this problem seems to happen often). The second time was for the same reason--descaling couldn't be completed because it wouldn't move forward to the rinsing process. The third time, it was the grinder-the machine wasn't sensing the grinder. At this point, this machine has been more of a nuisance than a convenience. I think I've given it more than enough chances to work (live) up to its hype...here's hoping it works well without issues when it's returned to me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had a Breville barista, which worked great & lasted 12 years. Instead of getting it repaired we decided to go ahead and get this machine instead. It had all the bells & whistles we were looking for & a slight upgrade from the Breville we had especially with the tamper built in! The coffee comes out amazing! The taste is perfect. So far so good! Would recommend this machine to anyone looking for an espresso maker!

The BEST Espresso Machine Out There!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The La Specialista Prestigio Espresso Machine by De'Longhi is the best espresso machine I have owned EVER. My wife and I are huge fans of espresso but did not like the price tag behind buying one at a coffee shop daily. Ever since we got this, we havent been to a local coffee shop as we are able to easily brew our own right in our own home. This machine is great for those wanting high quality espresso and want to try many different coffee beans to try. I was worried about the mess involved with grinding your own coffee grounds, but the built in tamper with the handle makes it a breeze. Also the ability to choose the grind setting depending on the ground you use is amazing. Once you have your coffee grounds, you can make quite a few different types of coffee from an espresso shot, to an americano to a regular cup of coffee. I love the ability to control the temperature on the roast as my wife prefers a dark roast and I prefer a medium roast. With no wait times between brewing and frothing makes the morning making easy as ever. The milk frother is a great addition when we want to add some frothed milk. Theres even a tray the slides down for your different sized cups depending on what your feeling like that day. The great technology in this machine by De'Longhi is beyond that of any machine we have owned. We love to serve different types when our family and friends join us for breakfast and this machine is the talk of the meal. I am beyond impressed and highly recommend if you want quality and great tasting coffee, this is the machine you need. We will never go back to anything else. This is a great add for the price and worth every single penny. Best coffee I have had!!!

Replaced my nine-year-old espresso mater that finally died on me. Extraction is great but I have to go to the maximum grind quantity and minimum grind size to get to the proper pressure. The good news it that is doesn't make a mess when grinding like my old machine did. The steamer wand is useless so I had to buy a separate milk foamer. Great looking machine, I hope it lasts as long as my other one.

Pluses and Minuses

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The De'Longhi La Specialista Prestigio Espresso Machine has its pluses and minuses. It looks very sophisticated and sleek, but it takes up a lot of counter space. We like that it grinds coffee beans and portions out the amount of coffee needed for one drink. However, the built-in tamping feature is not foolproof. You often still have to follow-up with manual tamping. The espresso it creates is of good quality. However, the steamed milk isn't as good as what we'd been used to getting from a smaller De'Longhi machine. The milk instrument also gets lots of build-up. We do like being able to make coffee drinks at home, helps us get started in the morning.
